It's fun to listen to Seymour the ROBOTIME 3D Music Box. Another one, dubbed Orpheus Sad Musical Machine, was already assembled by me. That one was so much fun to put together that I decided to get this one!The "Seymour" kit includes the precut parts, a music box, 3 screws to fasten the music device to the wooden piece, a metal disc(?) to help the little fan spin, 1 tweezers, 1 screwdriver, 1 tube of glue, 120mm of aluminum wire, 3 split rings, and 2 tiny bells.I had no trouble putting it together, but I can understand how a young child, say 7 years old, may. It is therefore most definitely designed for someone who is experienced and has no trouble following directions. The components are indeed laser cut, though. does not imply that it will necessarily come together. Some of the components need to be sanded until they fit using the small piece of sandpaper that is included. That, in my opinion, is the sole drawback. More sanding was required to smooth up this little fellow than Orpheus. That small piece of sandpaper was almost exhausted by me. The little dog ears may cause problems for certain people. A slight movement causes them to slip out; they wouldn't stay in place. I made an attempt to use the kit's included adhesive. But when it came to the ears, it didn't work out so well. So I just used a hot glue gun, and they are now secure. Oh, and some of the components have outlines for where they should go. In order to give it a "mechanical" appearance, the wooden components have little detail. Just give me a little more information about them, please. I used a wooden burning tool to add some.

The pirate ship is finished, and we're keeping the castle for when she comes back.She adored building and then playing with her ship, which she had dubbed "The Becky." When she saw there were two female pirates, she was overjoyed and promptly named the one with the largest feather as captain. (The box suggests that the castle doesn't feature any female figures, but I haven't even opened it yet.)The design is intricate and incorporates innovative elements that give it that additional "something," including steering wheels that spin and 3-D treasure chests you can fill with anything.The building process was fairly straightforward; all we actually required was a butter knife to pop out the notch slots that were too narrow for our fingers to grasp. Our ship's construction took around two hours, and my niece was able to complete about 85% of it on her own. I mostly served as the hunt-and-find helper, stepping in when needed to hold items, offer advice on more difficult parts, or if her 5-year-old hands had mishandled something.That is one of the kits' few shortcomings. Although it is printed on strong, double-sided foam board, the object is not meant to last indefinitely as a toy. The more delicate build steps might be tough for small hands to complete without bending objects, and I can picture all but the most cautious kids tearing this apart in a few months of intense play. And because the finished result is so awesome, it will be played a lot. But hey, it only cost $10, and making it was the fun part, so everything is OK.Good for teaching sequential logic, fine motor abilities, patience, and following directions.

Okay, after reading a few other evaluations, I have a few recommendations. To fit a typical wine bottle, the rope needs to be cut down by around two inches. The instructions go into detail about this. Simply by tying another knot, I was able to lower the first one until it was below the top piece. With the knot hanging down, the puzzle really gains a small new piece. The instructions were simply too little for my brain to comprehend, so I had to take a picture of them and print them out on my printer in order to "set" the problem. It was easy once I had a larger copy. I then placed everything inside a wine gift box that I had bought at Dollar Tree. It's difficult to wait until Christmas, but it should be fun to see them struggle to get their bottles out!

With my son, I put this together in an afternoon. It takes up to four hours. He adores it.These are my problems:#1 - You must construct C5, C7, C6, and C8 in that order in Step 1. WHY? I missed it, so I had to disassemble the puzzle afterwards to repair it. Everything else follows in order. This is an error Roku needs to correct.There is a corkscrew groove for the balls to roll in Part A-7, #2. In my attempt to position it, I cracked the bottom of it. Gorilla Glue was used to fix the component. It was smoothed (no need to sand it), and then it was correctly put together.#3 - Due to friction, the posts (component E10 constructed in Steps 7–12) do not easily rise and fall after the puzzle is complete. There are six of them. Because we took our time to figure this out, turning the crank broke the wood peg (G10) off the sub-gear (D8) (installed in Step 3). I fixed it by attaching D8 to D16 (a bigger gear).I made the decision to use a Q-tip to apply WD-40 to the bottom of "part E10" (assembled are designated components d, e, f, g, h, and I - six of them) to make them glide more easily over the wheels (D15). It succeeded!My youngster adores this puzzle since it is very imaginative. Although it should not have taken as much work, it did. I wrote this review to warn others about these problems.

These were purchased for my son, who is 12 years old and has high-functioning autism. I discovered that they were ideal for him because he liked to fidget with objects. He started playing with them as soon as he got them and looked online to see what kinds of shapes he could build with them. After having them for a few days, whenever he feels anxious, he instinctively picks one up and begins playing with it. My only warning is to keep a tight eye on young children and those who like to chew or put items in their mouths. The tiny rectangle sections are snap-ons and relatively simple to separate.
