Best Automotive Floor Mats in 2022
When it comes to protecting the interior of your car, nothing beats automotive floor mats. They keep your carpets clean, provide added traction, and add a touch of style to your ride. But with so many choices on the market, how do you find the best floor mats for your vehicle?
First, consider the type of material you want for your floor mats. Rubber mats provide added protection against dirt and spills, but they can also be slippery and difficult to clean. PVC mats are a good option if you want a more durable design, while carpeted mats add a touch of style and comfort to your ride.
Next, consider how much protection you need. If you regularly drive off-road or through muddy terrain, then you’ll want something with maximum protection. But if you mainly use your car for everyday errands and commuting, then a basic mat should suffice.
Also, check for any special features that your mats may come with. Some mats have built-in channels to help contain liquid spills, while others offer non-slip backing to keep them in place. Other features to look for include anti-microbial protection, odor-resistant material, and easy-to-clean designs.
Finally, consider the size and shape of the mats you need. Most manufacturers offer a variety of sizes and shapes to fit your vehicle’s floor plan. Make sure to measure your car’s interior before you buy to get the best fit.
Finding the best automotive floor mats for your car doesn’t have to be difficult. With a little research, you can find the perfect mat to keep your car’s interior looking and feeling great.
1. FH Group Black F11311BLACK Rubber Floor Mat(Heavy Duty Tall Channel, Full Set Trim to Fit)
Review:
These mats are a fantastic set and are reasonably priced at $13. Not very heavy, but also not inexpensive. They are quite simple to cut with a pair of scissors if they are a little too large for your car. The floor board of my 2008 Dodge Ram Truck includes a small hook to hold the mat in place. In the mat, I put a 1/2" grommet. It was an excellent purchase to get the General Tools 81264 Multi Grommet Tool Kit, 3/8" and 1/2". The mat's hills and valleys will be covered by the grommet face's diameter. After putting the grommet, I honestly don't think I needed to trim the rubber on the mat's bottom to assist the grommet lay level, but there's no harm done. The crew cab's back mats are a touch too small for them, but not to the point where it lessens the appeal of the mats overall.
2. Custom Accessories Black Armor All 78840ZN 4-Piece Season Rubber Floor Mat
Review:
These are excellent for what they are. They have no smell. They barely budge. If I exposed the enormous spikes at the bottom, they could slip less, but I'm afraid the car's floor will be ruined. They are constructed from a sturdy, elastic rubber material. My 2016 Honda Fit's front floor is almost entirely covered by them. Even though the rear mats only partially enclose the back row, I was aware of this before making the purchase. However, after owning them for a week, I've made the decision to buy some custom-fit mats. Yes, they cost nearly five times as much, but what good is a floor mat if it doesn't cover the entire surface? When winter arrives, all the snow will easily slip around the edges, go below these mats, and end up on the car floor regardless. They now work nicely for summer, though. Despite the fact that I believe these mats to be the greatest universal mats available, I still need a better fit.

Review:
They are adorable and ideal for the price; the only reason for the four stars is that I wish the back ones had a hint of pink as well. If you are concerned that they won't fit your automobile, don't panic because they are simple to cut. Only the driver's side needed to be trimmed. If it helps, I own a 2006 325i BMW 4 door. I consider the fragrance of these mats to be an added advantage because it gives my car a new scent, however if you have a rubber allergy you might want to think again before purchasing.

These mats are a great option for my situation because I have an older secondhand car that was lacking a lot of interior accessories but is too old to justify trying to purchase OEM parts. I won't be upset if they endure a few years without breaking down because I don't expect them to shield the interior of the car from every conceivable danger.Due to the molded-in grooves and shapes, I did had to trim them to fit, but I was able to do so without too much difficulty by using a regular pair of scissors rather than a utility knife or other tool-type device. However, the clipped chunks had terrible flavor. In my perspective, great value for the money.

Wonderful pricing and a great product! The mats are made of soft rubber rather than fragile hard plastic. They are simple to trim to fit my new Infiniti QX80 (I removed the factory carpet mats from my car to use as a template to trace on these Motor Trend mats so I could have the same shape/dimension as the factory mats). To ensure that these mats matched the black interior of my car, I bought the black version of them. These mats just fit on top of my original carpet mats in my Infiniti after I cut them to size and lay them over them. Since these mats have tiny rubber teeth on the underside, they feel fairly secure. Please take note that these mats will not fit in the third row of my Infiniti QX80.It was either these mats or some incredibly pricey WeatherTech brand custom mats (those were $180), so I'm satisfied with this (far less expensive) solution. Simple decision for me!

My most recent purchase was a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder. I was tempted to purchase weather-tech floormats, but I decided against it after doing some web research because I couldn't justify spending more than $90 on rubber mats. I read some reviews, some of which claimed that the Motor Trend ones were excessively large, moved around, etc. They were the best ones I could find on Amazon, so I went ahead with it nevertheless. When I first installed them, the back one fit well. To lay flat around the back of the console (over the small hump), I had to cut two 2 inch slots. The fronts were next installed, and both mats fit flawlessly with no cutting necessary. They have been with me for a while, and I have no problems. They cover the entire floor, keeping the carpets clean, and they don't slide around or creep up under the gas pedal like some of my prior mats did. If you have a Pathfinder, I highly recommend these!!!
9. Motor Trend OF-933-BK Black Deep Dish Rubber Floor Mats All-Climate All Weather Performance Plus Heavy Duty Liners Odorless
Review:
The point is, while it will take some work to get them to fit properly, it is still cheaper than paying three times as much for custom floor mats. They seem to be very strong and have so far held up well. Some purchasers who have really small floors are dissatisfied. Instead of relying on Amazon's fitment chart, I would trust the measurements in the bullet points. I didn't even trim mine; instead, I left the sides slightly extending up the edges of my floors. I like this approach more because it offers additional protection and shapes the edges into bowls that can catch spills. They are still gorgeous. I'm impressed overall.

Review:
Just arrived today, and installation was really simple. In order to prevent it from bunching up towards the front, one piece of the rear mat had to be removed. Even after keeping the car in the sun for a few hours with the doors locked, there was no strong plastic or rubber odor. Simple to cut with scissors, I might end up removing one more piece from the driver's side to better accommodate the foot rest, but for the time being, I'm not bothered. In order to prevent the mat from sliding forward, my car has one of those hooks; if this becomes an issue, I will punch a hole in it for that purpose, but for the time being, I just turned my hook. I spent a few hours running around town without sliding.
