Best Automotive Replacement EGR Valve Position Sensors in 2022

As a car enthusiast, it’s important to make sure you have the best parts and components when it comes to your vehicle. One of the most important parts that should never be overlooked is the EGR valve position sensor. This component is responsible for monitoring the position of the EGR valve, ensuring that it remains in the correct position.

When it comes to finding the best automotive replacement EGR valve position sensor, there are several things that you should consider. First, you want to make sure that the sensor is durable and reliable. This means choosing a sensor that has been tested for long-term performance and is manufactured from high-quality materials.

Second, you also want to make sure that the sensor is compatible with your vehicle’s make and model. Many aftermarket parts come in a generic size and shape, but it’s important to make sure that the sensor you choose is the exact one for your vehicle.

Third, you also want to make sure that the sensor is easy to install. Many sensors are designed to be user-friendly, allowing you to quickly and easily install them without any special tools or knowledge.

Finally, you also want to make sure that you’re getting a good deal on the sensor. Shop around and compare prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal possible.

By taking the time to research and compare the best automotive replacement EGR valve position sensors, you can make sure that your vehicle is running optimally and safely. With the right sensor, you can rest assured that your EGR valve is always in the correct position and functioning properly.

My 2004 Ford F-250 diesel truck's turbo farted, had no power, and produced a lot of smoke when the thermostat was changed. This solved the issue. The internals of this sensor, which attaches adjacent to the thermostat, deteriorate over time. The sensor gets destroyed by excessive shaking or jarring.

I performed more investigation after changing the switch that operates the EGR valve and discovered that the information is sent to the switch in tandem with the computer. It is by far the simplest component to swap out. No tools are required! I noticed a lot of gunk when I glanced into the previous one's tubes. I'm hoping this works.

Review:

My 1998 Ford F150's 5.4L engine fits. A metal DPFE Sensor that came standard on this truck was changed by this. At the same time, I placed an order for replacement hoses (Dorman 46019 EGR Pressure hoses for Motorcraft DPFE EGR Sensor). Be Wary since the ports on the DPFE and the metal line they connect to have varied widths and the inside diameters of these 2 hoses vary. After changing the DPFE 15 and hoses, my first test drive went well. I periodically experienced a "surge" issue when driving and would receive a P0401 code when towing a heavy trailer or having a tote of liquid fertilizer in the truck's bed. Over the past 1.5 years, I have changed all vacuum lines, the PCV valve, the EGR valve, eight spark plugs, and eight coils to address different check engine light problems. Time will only tell.

After switching the turbo and map sensor, I got this as a shotgun and it fixed a PO299 issue. I intentionally bought one around eight months ago, but it broke down with only the turbo underboost code. All aircraft must be motorized!

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pressure Feedback Sensor [Automotive] Motorcraft DPFE4#

Review:

It's a FOMOCO component, and its design differs slightly from the one on the automobile. This one is a little larger and has a top vent. Had a P0401 code; after ruling out all other potential causes, I bought this, cleared the code, and now my car is operating better and with more power!Remove the connector, then twist the entire module side to side to loosen the hose to get the old one off. My attempt ended in failure; I believe the plastic had become heat-aged. When I removed the nipples from the hoses, it turned to dust. If you plan to reuse the hoses, make sure to hit them with armor; if you decide to replace them, make sure they can withstand heat.

Typical EGR Valve (EGV1149)#

Review:

With Standard Motor Products, I've had good luck. I've experienced defective EGR valves, but none from this supplier. The problem was resolved, and the CEL was gone. Before reassembling, make careful to thoroughly clean the carbon tube. Use shop rags, brake cleaner, and, if necessary, a tiny flathead. To clean the carbon tube, I roll the corner of a blue shop rag, feed it inside, and spin it around. Even ideal would be a tiny snake of some sort.If you have an air compressor, place a rag over the dirty end and blow air into the clean end. (Don't miss the rag step, since it can blow everything about)Your replacement part could be ruined by a dirty carbon tube, or it could bring on a CEL on its own.

My 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 2.5L's P0401 Check Engine code has a very affordable fix. Installation was simple, although I had to buy a new "IN" hose because the old one was roughly half an inch too short to reach the fitting.
