Best Band Saws in 2022

When it comes to woodworking, having the right tools is essential. One of the most important tools is the band saw. The band saw is used to make curved cuts and to cut curves in wood. It is also used to cut intricate shapes and to make small pieces of intricate shapes. When it comes to buying a band saw, there are a lot of factors to consider.

One of the most important things to consider when buying a band saw is the size. The size of the band saw will determine the type of work you can do. If you are looking for a band saw for more intricate work, then you should look for a smaller saw with a smaller blade. If you are looking for a larger saw for larger cuts and pieces, then you should look for a larger saw with a larger blade.

Another important factor to consider when buying a band saw is the power of the saw. You should look for a saw that has enough power to handle the type of work you plan to do. Most band saws have a range of power options, so you can choose the right saw for your needs.

The type of blade is also important to consider when buying a band saw. There are several types of blades available, and you should choose the type that is best suited to the type of work you plan to do. If you plan to do fine work, then you should look for a blade with fine teeth. If you plan to do heavy duty work, then you should look for a blade with larger teeth.

Finally, you should also consider the price of the band saw. Band saws can range from very affordable to quite expensive. You should compare prices from different brands and models to find the best price for the saw that you need.

By considering all of these factors, you can make sure you get the best band saw for your needs. Make sure to take your time and do your research before you buy to make sure you get the best band saw for your money.

How did I manage to survive without this? My favorite. It ranks right up there with my Dewalt 12v gyroscopic screwdriver and Dewalt 20v Multi-Tool as my top three favorite tools. For all the things I've used it for so far, it has more than enough power (mainly gutting an old victorian: so notching beams, cutting out all manner of piping, etc.) You can even put it up as a tiny tabletop bandsaw with considerable simplicity. The controls are clear and reliable.Face it, anything that must be manually sawed SUCKS. I fell in love the moment I was able to slice through a piece of 3/4" OD steel nipple as effortlessly as a sharp knife slices through a carrot.NOTE: If you're thinking about getting one of these, pay the extra cash and get the deep cut so you won't have to send the other one back when it inevitably proves inadequate for one of the first tasks you give it.

I feel as though Milwaukee deserves my gratitude for making my life so much simpler. As a plumber, I frequently use this on threaded rod, PVC, and black iron pipe. I've used this model at work for years, and it works fine. With a 5ah, the battery lasts fairly long. Despite its weight, it can cut through a wide diameter quite quickly and easily for a battery-powered tool. I would probably purchase a 12v to handle easier if I were only cutting unistrut.

The drive wheels of the first vehicle had a damaged tire. Returning a replacement was incredibly simple and speedy. One of my most used and prized tools, the second one arrived in fantastic condition. At a local college where I teach welding, I use it to chop up various types of metal for demonstration projects. swift, clean cuts in copper, bronze, tool steel, stainless steel, mild steel, etc. Much faster and without the dust and sparks than grinders, pr cutoff tools, and much safer. The store remains spotless. When I ordered the saw, I hadn't thought about that, but it has made a big difference. Compared to cutoff wheels, the blade lasts a lot longer. I believe that simply in cutoff wheels over the past month, I have probably saved the cost of the saw. I built a straightforward wall mount for the saw and haven't used it since. It hangs on the wall with a foot pedal from an old sewing machine. Once more, it is much quicker, cleaner, and cooler. It has also significantly lessened the burden on my plasma cutter. You will be happy you purchased this equipment if you fabricate with metal. Last but not least, since purchasing this saw, I haven't burned my fingers or accidentally thrown a small piece of metal across the shop while using a hand grinder. Wear your PPE and take pleasure in this excellent tool because you know you've done it.

I've had this tool for nearly three weeks and just now had a chance to test it out. Overall excellent tool that quickly and cleanly cuts materials like EMT and allthread. It has a 5mah battery and can operate for a long time. It is heavier than the Milwaukee 12V, but it has a far longer runtime with the 20V power. The fact that there is no safety bar to prevent you from cutting a 1-5/8" strut straight is something I do appreciate. well-built feeling I anticipate using this practical tool frequently. Its mid-size between a 12v and 18v Milwaukee and full power are qualities I appreciate. I've had good luck with Dewalt and love the tools, even though their prices are a bit costly in comparison to their rivals.

Although the saw itself is excellent and cuts nicely, the one I received had a defective trigger and would only operate at full speed when the trigger was squeezed to the absolute limit. Additionally, in order to run the saw, the lock out button had to be held in place because it would not stay clicked in either direction. The saw I received was probably a refurbished or returned item rather than a brand-new one. The replacement I purchased from a box store performs as it should. If you purchase this saw from us, be sure to give it a thorough inspection to ensure that it is functioning properly. Additionally, my saw arrived in its original box, which announced to everyone nearby that a free Milwaukee saw was waiting for them on my porch.

This is an excellent tool. For a deck I built, I utilized it to level my joists. Since then, I have used it numerous times. It is a fantastic tool. The main issue is that it doesn't include a dust bag, thus saw dust is released everywhere. To purchase one, I had to go to the DeWalt service facility, but even then, it created a mess. When I duct taped it to the hose on my shop vac and ran the shop vac while using the tool, I got the cleanest results. Although it is inconvenient, it did manage to contain around 98% of the mess.

Hence, please be patient with me. The setup was good, but I tried to realign the blade because it was practically off the top wheel. I loosened the tension knob until the blade popped off because I was unable to discern which direction the adjustment caused the blade to move. It must have been rather entertaining to see me attempt to put it back on. I assume everything is fine after battling with it for approximately 30 minutes. No way to check whether the blade tension is appropriate. I continued to adjust it until it stopped turning, at which point I back it off a few turns. There doesn't seem to be any more blade flex than the 2mm that is advised.The barrier looks tacky. It contains tiny rubber cushions that prevent it from simply achieving a proper 90 degree angle. I assumed you could adjust the table by tightening the hex bolt on top, but it didn't want to move, so I didn't take a chance. The table appeared to be slightly off of 90 degrees to the blade.It appears that they are cutting corners on several areas based on the videos I have watched. No top handle, no bottom rubber feet, and no dust port cover are present.

This was bought, according to one reviewer, to construct scales (handles) for straight razors and other little tasks. It wasn't put up properly.After properly setting up the device, I used it to construct an extension for the miter gauge by cutting a piece of 1" thick Black Walnut both against and with the grain using the provided blade.The saw operated flawlessly as long as I moved slowly.Here are some images;
