With the exception of a little problem that might be specific to my shower, this suited my needs flawlessly. It works great, keeps the soap out of any standing water, and has a nice appearance. The soap would slide off the holder when wet since my soap shelf is somewhat canted forward to aid with water drainage. The issue was resolved by attaching a clear stick with a silicone foot to the shelf at the front edge of the soap dish (rather than the dish itself, though that would have been preferred). Because it was barely 8 inches long, I almost didn't order it. took a gamble, and it was successful. Even a 12-inch frying pan can be kept from touching my sink thanks to this 8-inch protection. Only the middle of the frying pan touches the silicone divider; the corners of the pan do not even touch the stainless steel sink. I believe the silicone is just thick enough to prevent the top of the pan from contacting. The middle of my sink is about an inch broad. I enjoy this holder for a number of reasons, including its size, drainage holes, the fact that one side is deeper than the other, and the fact that the center can be removed for cleaning. I rated it four stars, though, because of the cleaning portion. Even with a scrubbing brush, it's challenging to maintain clean. Given that I have the greatest trouble keeping that area clean, it might be preferable if the middle piece remained attached. For cleaning my cast iron cookware, I use one side to hold my sponge and the other to hold my stainless steel scrubber. I clean it every time I wash dishes in the sink, or at least every day, but the disgusting red mold still tries to develop in the bottom. Within a DAY! You can now understand why I clean it every day and why I also use bleach. It might be the humidity in this area. Nevertheless, I still strongly suggest it because it's incredibly practical and the ideal size for my sink.
