Good, however if you're coming from a down comforter, it takes some getting used to. I can't help but miss the feel of the feathers in my old comforter. This is more akin to resting on a bed of hazy pillow filling. But it's unquestionably fluffy. In addition, I find it a little bit too warm. This seems to "breathe" less than my old down comforter, which suggests that my old comforter may have been more worn out than I initially assumed. I anticipate that I'll adjust to it quickly, and all I'll need to do is develop the practice of letting the home cool off a little before going to bed. So far, it appears that this down replacement comforter is of decent quality and that all of my problems are simply a result of its being my first of its kind. Coming from a genuine down comforter, I must admit that I definitely had my reservations, but because I was on a tight budget, I decided to take a chance on this replacement down comforter, and I definitely won! This comforter is really soft to the touch and just as warm as my old one was when it was in its prime, while yet feeling light and breathable. We are quite happy with our purchase, my husband and I. There will be no more arguments over who gets to hog the blankets because of the liberal sizing. We chose the king size because our mattress is king-sized, and it fits the entire bed very beautifully with at least 2 to 3 inches of overlap on each side. It is also quite long, so there will be no more cold toes if it gets bunched up. I pre-washed and dried it, as I would with any new purchase, and all of the seams held flawlessly, the cloth didn't shrink, and it didn't show any signs of wear. This is by far my favorite Amazon buy!

I held off on publishing this review. In my hometown, where it is now snowing, this comforter is quite cozy. I was concerned that it wouldn't be warm enough, but synthetic comforters have advanced significantly, and this one is not only machine washable but also compact, warm, and quite lightweight. Of course, choosing a practical hue is necessary given that I share my bed with a cat, two dogs, and a puppy.I should mention that in the winter, my bed is covered with flannel sheets.Update: Yesterday, when I washed the comforter, my washer hardly had room for it. If you have a comforter that is larger than a twin, you can either use a duvet cover and not wash the comforter at all, wash it in a large commercial machine, or soak it in the bathtub.

This is a new comforter I purchased for a sweaty sleeper, and so far, it seems to be working out rather nicely. Although I can't say for sure that he stays cool at night, this comforter is much lighter than our previous one without feeling unsupported. Tennis balls were placed in the dryer with it while I cleaned and dried it, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Also, the price was really reasonable.
