It contains all the features you would need in a pool table accessory and fits well against the wall.One peculiar/frustrating issue was that we had to return the first "Oak" rack because the color was more akin to cherry wood than oak. We bought it again in the hopes that they had made a mistake, but we received a different shade of oak. We retained this piece since it had a great enough finish. To have a place to keep the balls, cues, and chalk for my pool table, I bought this item. I'm happy to say that this was a terrific purchase after installing the item with a few changes. The rack has a rich mahogany hue and a fantastic appearance. The cues' cutouts on the bottom shelf look fantastic and almost like cork. The item needs to be assembled, but if done right, it's not that challenging. In order to prevent driving the screws too deeply and shattering the wood when assembling with a power tool, I advise setting the tool to a lower torque number, such as 3 or 4. The bottom edge should be fastened to the wall, as some other reviewers have suggested, so that the rack won't slide anytime you pull a cue stick out. I utilized "Chair braces" in bronze that I bought from Lowe's. Make careful you use drywall anchors or to screw the chair braces into the wall in a stud. Use a self-tapping wood screw that is the proper length to secure the chair bracing to the bottom of the rack without going through the wood. I've included images so you can decide for yourself, but I believe it looks fantastic.

Nicely done. simple to construct In order to attach the wood to the wall, I took out the small gold hangers that were there and replaced them with a Hangman mirror and picture hanger on the top rail and four command strip velcro image hangers on the bottom rail. Overkill, I know. This rack won't be leaving anytime soon.
