Best Boat Engine Fuel Tanks in 2022

When it comes to choosing the best boat engine fuel tanks, there are a few things to consider. First and foremost, you need to make sure that the tank is the right size for your boat and engine. If the tank is too small, it won't provide enough fuel for your engine, and if it's too large, it won't fit properly in the space allotted for it. Additionally, you'll want to consider the materials of the tank. Steel is a popular choice for fuel tanks because it's strong and durable, but you may also want to consider aluminum tanks, which are lightweight and corrosion-resistant.

The next thing to consider is the type of fuel the tank is designed to hold. Most tanks are designed for gasoline, but there are also tanks designed for diesel and other fuels, so make sure you know what kind of fuel your engine uses before you buy a tank. Once you know what kind of fuel you're using, you'll also want to check out the tank's capacity. You'll need to make sure that the tank can hold enough fuel for your boat and engine.

Finally, you'll want to pay attention to the tank's construction. Look for tanks that are made with welded seams and have high-quality paint finishes. This will ensure that the tank is strong and durable enough to withstand the rigors of being on the water.

Choosing the right fuel tank for your boat and engine is an important decision, so make sure you do your research and choose the best one for your needs. With the right tank, your boat will be able to run smoothly and safely on the water.

It's just a gas tank, though a fantastic tiny one at that. It is sturdy and well-built. The tank's walls are thicker than those of a gas can, making it good and long-lasting. I believe this is the reason it is referred to as "low-permeation." It is so robust that very little harm results from it slipping out of the rear of my pickup truck while I'm traveling (oops). Additionally, the gas gauge incorporates a screw-type open/close vent. a charming small detail. The gas gauge is a straightforward, mechanical gauge that is trustworthy. A tiny mesh screen is also present in the gasoline collecting tube to keep out debris.

Review:

This tank was purchased for my Boston Whaler SS150. There was enough area for the tank to expand as it went underneath the seat. The gel coat on the seat was chipped when I removed a 20 Gal tank from the factory that would expand significantly. The fill spout aligns with a slot in the seat that serves as a "cup holder," and the gasoline gauge is clearly visible. The tank is thick and attractive.

Review:

Remember to vent the cap when moving from a chilly place to a warm area, as many other people have advised. It does, as claimed, auto vent for vacuum, which is a good feature. On your OEM outboard tanks, you won't need to remember to open the vent. My OEM Johnson tank's fuel connections actually screwed perfectly onto the connection of this tank. Just remember to include some Teflon tape to stop leaks.

I have a 1988 bass boat that I recently upgraded with a new tank. The tank worked, but I had to take out the batteries in order to get it out, and I had to twist it at an angle. It was built by Tempro. It was a significant issue. Therefore, this time I made sure the tank's dimensions didn't go over my open port. The older tank has outwardly angled sides. My previous tank's gasoline line intake also had a crack where the fitting screwed into the tank. I then switched it out with this one. I particularly appreciate the gasoline gauge in the tank, which allows me to quickly check the fuel level. It really is convenient to fill the tank by just pulling it in and out over the batteries.
