We bought two of these, a white one and a red one, so we could use the stereo and party modes. I do suggest getting 2 different colors; when you open the app it actually identifies the speaker and its color so setting left or right for stereo is very simple since you can see each speaker pictured with its color. In party mode they both play the same exact audio, and in stereo one is left and one is right (obviously). Based on several evaluations I've read and watched on YouTube, I choose these JBLs. The selling factor for me was that even at maximum level, the sound was clear and didn't distort, even though they are not the loudest speakers available. They are resistant to dust and water; I've fallen one in water before, and it still functions perfectly. When we go paddle boarding, we bring these along and clip them to our boards without having to worry about them becoming wet. I use voice commands to operate my phone exclusively when paddling, which works incredibly well with this speaker. They are therefore very loud for a party, have a huge range, and are truly waterproof. There is no method to return to the previous track, at least not that I have found. If I am mistaken, please message me and I'll change the rating. The play/pause/and double-tap next track buttons are functional. Why not make the prior command a triple tap? Alternatively, why not double-tap the Bluetooth connect button to go back? Perhaps this will be done now that the speakers receive software upgrades. If you're asking whether the stereo and party modes are worthwhile for those reasons alone, I'd say definitely. The sound easily filled the whole upper deck of the 80-foot boat when we used them on a houseboat in both party and stereo modes.

To play my daughter's piano lesson CDs, I initially only wanted the smallest, cheapest one available, intending to spend no more than $20–$25. However, the ones in that price range were either unattractive with poor ratings or personal players that required headphones. Then I saw this one, which is small (about 5.5" x 5.5" x 7") and has bluetooth functionality, which made me consider how useful that feature would be. We had no issues with it playing CDs, and I had no issues pairing it with my iPhone via bluetooth. Additionally, we have utilized it to play CD read-aloud books. Although we don't use it for radio, I can imagine how its clumsy analog control knob leaves something to be desired. Additionally, I wish the antenna cord, which we don't use, could be tucked away somewhere so that it wouldn't stick out of the back so awkwardly (see photo). Otherwise, I would unquestionably suggest this to anyone looking for a straightforward, generally well-designed, tiny CD player with bluetooth.
