I unpacked and set up my Sport-Brella in my backyard as a trial run for our impending beach trip after receiving it in a lovely long cardboard box. The setup was easy in my backyard, and I was surprised by how quickly everything was set up and ready to use. The instructions were useful, but after I had everything set up and ready to go, I found that it was extremely self-explanatory. Before you go for your trip or use it outdoors, I'd highly recommend putting it up in your home or outside.The wind was quite strong at the beach (around 8-10mph), yet the Sport-Brella held up well for our weekend excursion! Sand around the umbrella's edges to support the anchors, I discovered, was beneficial. The wind-permitting flaps kept me in the shade, cool, and breeze. I've previously used inexpensive beach umbrellas that would have collapsed in the wind gusts we experienced today. Even though it briefly started to rain, my wife and I kept dry and comfortable under the Brella. We cherished it! Our family enjoyed using this tent for a vacation. Actually, it functions far better than I had anticipated, and folding it back into the carry bag only takes a minute. The price is incredible for the size of this shelter, and it is completely worth it. I've never seen an easy up with better fabric, which is why I've always gone with Coleman. It genuinely is water proof and doesn't rip like so many others do. Additionally, because the fabric is angled downward by the frame extensions, water won't collect on the canopy. You won't have to worry about collapsing from water weight because any water will simply run off. Keep in mind that it does require a few people to erect this because of the robust frame's weight. With two, it is possible, but three or four make it simple and move much more quickly. Make sure the vent is installed properly. It actually comes as a separate piece of fabric because it is so large. This shelter keeps notably cooler than others because heat leaves through the vent, which also makes a significant contribution to wind resistance. Even the fabric flapping in the breeze has not yet been seen. Although rather large, the wheeled carrying bag is excellent. It's incredibly simple to put it back in the bag without going crazy trying to cram it in because the wheels are nice and robust and don't break. 13x13 seemed excessively large at first, but I'm glad I chose it anyhow, and everyone I know who has smaller ones usually remarks on how beautiful the size is. You won't be dissatisfied!PS. I felt the need to clarify that these canopies are not intended to be up for weeks or months at a time after reading some of the other reviews. They are not intended to endure persistently high winds and torrential downpours. Not backyard gazebos, but rather portable shelters, these. Therefore, you will be quite delighted if you enter it knowing what the product actually is.

If you're using it on a stroller and aren't sure which size to get, this ordinary size is ideal; any bigger would've been in the way.We enjoy taking our kids on vacations and being active. We take a few annual trips to Disney World as well as multiple day outings to the zoo and other exciting locations. We don't go back to the rooms for naps because there is too much time wasted in traveling back and forth, and the kids will likely fall asleep on the bus ride and then be wide awake from their power nap when you get to the resort, so we invested in a big comfortable stroller years ago, mainly just for Disney, lol. I usually fasten thin blankets around them and unzip the material behind their head to allow airflow, but it's still bright and the sun will inevitably shine on their feet and legs while we're out and about with them awake. Since I have fair-skinned children and have skin cancer in my third generation, I also dislike the direct sunlight on their legs. I've tried standard stroller umbrellas before, but they don't provide much coverage until I put two on, and they're domed so they don't lay well and that's a pain...BUT I FINALLY FOUND THIS COOL UPFLOWER. It has an odd shape, is flatter, fits perfectly, pivots in four places, and provides the coverage you require! I can still clip a stroller fan on the inside for when they're sleeping, and I only need to use one of the thin muslin swaddle blankets clothes pinned with 1-2 clothes pins on one side to keep the sunlight out and off of the sleeping kiddo with this one because it doesn't get in the way of anything (I can still access the kids, the basket, the cupholders, etc.). It does make my double stroller a little bit bigger, but I can reach beneath it and pop the top down to make it lay down flatter to fit through doorways. That is the only disadvantage I can think of.I fastened it to the bar by our stroller's basket so that it would lay level on top of the canopies, but I could have also fastened it higher to provide shade for the adults.

This image shows the canopy. Setup is quite simple. The tethers are designed for stakes (included), but that wouldn't work in the sand. We buried the legs about 8" down, attached sand bags (AbcCanopy), and tied the tethers on each corner to the bags. It was very windy at the beach, and the canopy was completely stable. Also, buy the Velcro AbcCanopy bags - no zippers as they would not work well in the sand.
