Large room: It had adequate space for two people, therefore I'd classify it as a 2.5-person tent rather than a 2-person one. When we laid down in it, I didn't feel the least bit constrained as I would in a typical little tent. If there is a child or dog, you might need a larger one for three people. The Coleman was returned since the "door" was far less functional than it was advertised to be, and the entrance zipper was COMMON. I am a parent. Cheap zippers and children don't mix well. The "Smooth Zipper" feature that was promoted plus the fact that it cost $80 less than the Coleman.It took TWO DAYS to get here! Quick. It arrived in what appeared to be a durable travel bag, and when I set it up, I and three of my children effortlessly managed to put all the pieces BACK into the bag. But this is where I'm going too fast.It was simple to assemble. Possibly not in the promised 10 minutes, but it's still simple. The first time, it might take 20 minutes; subsequent times, probably won't. The removal process was as simple. And what about the door's "Smooth Zipper" feature? It is real. However, two hands will probably still be required to open the door. However, it has one of the thicker and smoother tent zippers I've ever seen.We should be able to get at least a couple camping seasons out of it.ADVANCED 5-26-2019: I took it camping with me this past weekend, and it rained nonstop. Indoors the tent, we were dry. As we used the zipper more, it became simpler to use.

We got this tent to bring to the beach so we could protect our infant from the sun. It is simple to put up because to the pop-up feature, and the bag makes it portable and storage-friendly. Before using the tent, I advise looking for a video showing how to fold it. It was a lot more educational than the pictorial instructions that came with the tent, which we did after battling to get the tent back to the right size (so it could fit in the bag).The stakes are short and thin, which makes them ineffective in sand despite being perfect for usage in a standard yard. To prevent wind from blowing below the tent, we just placed sand around the sides on either side, and it worked well. On days with little cloud cover, even with the flaps open on all four sides, it was still noticeably warmer inside the tent than outside, which is to be expected as there is no vent on the top. To keep the infant cool, we used a tiny battery-operated fan. We had the option of using a beach tent with screens on all sides instead of a beach tent with an open side, which would have made the tent more adaptable for use in "buggy" regions away from the beach.

I'm a 68-year-old senior who first went camping as a kid in the 1950s, and I'd want to provide my opinion to any "Haters" out there.I pitched this myself in approximately 25 minutes; unless absolutely necessary, I don't rush.It was set up in a fairly traditional dome tent fashion, however if the pole pulls away from the pin, it's a long trip back (My weathermaster 6 has tight fitting clips for the poles)Given the weight of the fiberglass poles, I believe the elastic cord in the poles is "Iffy," but if any of them break, they are simple to restring.In contrast to the most of the tents I've owned, this one was staked with 16 8" aluminum "Y" alloys.The fly was first put on the windward side since any breeze would help it slide over the top.I could tell from the photos that the porch would get wet, so it was no great deal.I was aware that this was not a four-season tent. My excellent Marmot Limestone 4 is much better, but it suffers in the summer unless the rainfly is left open.This tent is intended to keep you dry and ventilated, and it appears to be very good at both.Overall, provided you respect the pitching and usage procedures, this tent is just as good as any other and even superior to some other more expensive tents.They all have a purpose—sub 3lb 1person backpackers to this thing. Huge and absurd—clearly unsuitable for backpacking—but my husband and I adore it. When we go car camping, we toss a queen-sized air mattress in here and feel like Kings. It's quite simple to set up and take down; setup can be completed by one person (perhaps of a certain height; we are 5'8" ), and takedown is made simpler by two people helping to pack it back into the carrying bag.We had things prepared when a tornado-like thunderstorm moved through the Midwest; we went to higher ground until it passed; when we went back, she was safe and secure and remained buried. Although not entirely watertight, we only experienced a little dew or sweat on the inner walls and no moisture on the floor.I wish there were windows on every side so that you could appreciate the view from all directions when you are inside, but that is the only "negative" I can think of.

This tent was purchased for my four-person household. This past weekend, my wife and I took a tubing vacation without the kids and used it for the first time. For the first time, we set it up in about 10 minutes and didn't even argue once! The directions were clearly written. I did purchase ten "According to other reviews, metal tent stakes should be used instead of the ones that came with the tent. The mesh roof seemed to enable ample ventilation, and we slept well with our battery-operated fans despite the temperatures being in the 90s. I was concerned about ventilation because there are few windows in this tent. On the second night, there were violent thunderstorms. High winds and sideways rain had no effect on the tent's performance at all. We did need to shut the side windows, but because to the rain fly's overhang, we were able to keep the door screen open. We got 2.5 "barely a drop inside and two hours of rain." I did put a tarp under the tent, and there was some water between the cover and the ground, but there was none on the ground itself. With room to spare on the sides, we used a queen-sized air mattress, and it fit wonderfully. We will place a second queen mattress on the opposite side when we go camping with the kids, leaving space in the middle for luggage and equipment. Because most stock photographs on the internet don't show the tent without the rain fly, I posted a picture of the tent without it. This tent is awesome!

Okay, complete disclosure. $17.99 on Amazon... I did not purchase this tent as an adult to really sleep in it. At six feet and a half, one must lie diagonally to be comfortable, and two persons are not an option (unless they are VERY little, like young children, who are five feet and under).I purchased this tent to use as a rain cover for my portable generator and to store dry firewood, among other things.Despite the lack of instructions, setup is simple and intuitive. You're ready to go once you assemble the poles, slide them into the roof "slips," place them in the corner holding holes, and raise the tent. The tiny rain "cap" appears a little flimsy, but it should offer protection and breathability in all but the worst downpours. Pull the portions you want to zip together and operate the zippers GENEROUSLY.For use in extreme weather, a second cover tarp may be advised.The system's components all conveniently fit within the carry bag, and it's lightweight enough for backpackers.Okay, the necessary shelter is provided for $18. Not the Taj-Mahal of tents, more of a one-person affair, but it satisfies the needs given the cost, quality, and features. Would suggest, pending use and needs. 18-bucks? Exxxcellent.
