Review:

I enjoy harissa. If you are unfamiliar with the flavor, red peppers (not particularly hot ones), garlic, and cumin are what I think you will taste. Ascorbic acid is typically added to commercial harissa choices, which in my opinion destroys the flavor. Not this one, though. It enhances the flavor of many different foods and has a genuinely homemade taste. It pairs well with roast chicken, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs in particular. I'm concerned that if I go out for breakfast or any other meal, I just throw the tube in my bag. As a snack, I enjoy putting a dab of it on a hard-boiled egg. I must admit that I am madly in love with this material. It helps me get through my attempts to eat healthier by adding a tiny flavor bomb to plain low-calorie dishes. Highly suggested.

Informations:

ideal for preparing hot Korean dishes#

Review:

I purchased this item because of three factors. Initially, I saw it on America's Test Kitchen. Second, my wife is addicted to heat. Third, I'm a former chef who now instructs high school students in the culinary arts. I'm truly competent with these things.I took a burger I had previously grilled, slathered the bun with mayo and gochujang, and set it aside for yesterday's lunch. 30% ground pork and 70% ground beef (80-20) made up my burger. These things really do make a difference. The flavor is excellent, and the heat is not overpowering. In the future, I'll use this a lot in stir-fries, soups, and sauces.

Review:

It was great when I used it to fill Japanese Sweet Mochi. Lima bean paste is what I was looking for, but I can't seem to find it online. This worked well as a stand-in. The paste was a little bit too sweet for the mochi, according to my mother, brother, and friend.Since this was my first attempt at making mochi, I wasn't entirely sure what I was ordering, but I'm delighted I came across this. Although mushy, the bean is not liquid-like. It won't stick at all even if you roll it around in your hand. It went really easily. Just in case anyone was interested in the texture.

Review:

spicy and delicious! I do mean it when I say it's spicy! I enjoy eating hot peppers and spicy cuisine in general, and I have an iron stomach that can handle ghost pepper hot sauce like it's nothing. However, I don't wish to scare people off because this is by no means as hot as ghost peppers, but it still packs a respectable punch. I guess I'm just so used to seeing "hot" labels on American food products or salsa, only to find that it's milder than a bell pepper. I'd estimate the level of spice on this to be about the same as a jalapeno or a deseeded serrano pepper, and it's sweet, salty, and just a touch acidic. I love using this for my stir fries and as a tofu dip. Although this is a very large tub and will last me quite a while, I might get one that is a little bit spicier the next time. I would still highly suggest this!

Review:

This is the genuine Pixian sauce that is required to prepare an authentic dish of Mapo Tofu, a specialty of Sichuan cuisine. It has a strong umami flavor and is sour and wonderful. It's not particularly spicy on its own, but you can make it spicy enough by adding a couple teaspoons of powdered Sichuan chili peppers. (Note that while Sichuan peppercorns are also used in this meal, I'm not specifically referring to them here.)It should be noted that the reviewer who stated (2014) that "it comes in separate pouches within the bigger bag, which I appreciate since it is easier to measure for cooking, and won't dry out," is incorrect. This is because that kind of packaging is no longer in use. What I got was a foil bag with a single clear plastic bag inside that contained all the sauce. As a result, you will need to pour the sauce into a glass jar to store it. You have a strong case for modifying the sauce's packaging when you consider the numerous consumers who have complained of receiving shipments with ruptured bags that leaked their contents. Therefore, instead of providing this product in a perilous foil packet, Sichuan Pixian Douban Co. Ltd.

I'm absolutely dependent on this thing. At least three times a month, I cook this green curry chicken, and the cheapest I could find was about $4.27 per bottle (Wal-mart had it for almost the same price as this vendor, but they never had any in stock at store). Since I make it so frequently, I figured, why not buy in bulk? It's amazing when you add a can of coconut milk, chicken thighs, onions, carrots, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. It's very close to ideal after I sauté the meat, add the vegetables, add the paste and spices, and then add the coconut milk and simmer.

About a year ago, my wife found Tomato Paste in a Tube, and it changed her life. Tomato paste had previously been purchased in little 3 oz cans, which gradually began to grow science projects in the refrigerator's rear. One major advantage of using tubed tomato paste is that you can portion out the precise amount required for a certain recipe and that it won't be exposed to air (and bacteria/mold).My wife and I use this tomato paste to give a little touch of acid to soups, pasta sauce, pizza sauce, and even chicken recipes. Due to the fact that this is a concentrated tomato product, it should be noted that it can be a little sweeter than expected. We have frequently bought this item in the grocery store; it is priced similarly to what we would pay at our neighborhood market, but it also comes with the extra benefit of being an AmazonFresh item.

Okay, taking into account some of the other product reviews. I'm compelled to explain. Because everyone keeps ignoring the fact that this product is just peppers, which is a really solid truth! The foundation of red curry is this ingredient. In other words, it doesn't have any spices, garlic, salt, ginger, etc.You can use this product to create your own curry flavors by mixing in other ingredients. If you use the same procedure as when purchasing a fully prepared curry, such as Mae's, which is simply add a few tablespoons and serve, you will be quite disappointed. For instance, masaman curry substitutes peanut oils for shrimp paste and a few other ingredients. This also enables you to become a wholly vegan diet.As long as you are aware that the sole component in this product is peppers, it is fantastic. The majority of the work required to make handmade curries goes into it. aka grinding up peppers. But you still need to add spices, such as cumin, garlic, and even salt, to any good curry recipe. If you prefer to toss it in a pot and go, this product is for you if you enjoy preparing your own curries from scratch. You will despise it if you look elsewhere.

9. Huey Fong Sambal Oelek Chili Paste 8 Oz

Huey Fong Sambal Oelek Chili Paste 8 Oz

Informations:

Fresh Ground Chili Paste#

Review:

I think this is my favorite condiment. When I notice that the jar is almost empty, I am anxious! There isn't much of this excellent sauce available where I live. Finding this product in a store is currently at best problematic. If only the "traditional" grocery stores in the region, such as Publix, Winn-Dixie, and even Wal-Mart, understood how fantastic this stuff is, they may stock it. I adore using this to flavor virtually anything else, from soups to salad dressings, as well as my handmade Pad Thai. It has a stronger flavor in my opinion and is hotter than Siracha sauce. Sandwiches taste fantastic with a kick from sambal olek.Knowing that stuff is accessible here is good. Although I am not a Prime member and some goods are just unavailable to non-members (if I'm mistaken, kindly correct me), I am able to purchase this without a Prime membership. Yay! Awesome stuff.
