I generally avoided climbing trees out of fear. I purchased two of those and used them to safely climb to the top of a 60-foot-tall spruce tree so that I could fasten a pull sling and cut it down. The rope features a number of loops that allow the harness to be fastened at various lengths. For increased security when advancing position and during ascending and descending, I have used two of those, constantly attached to one or both.
