Great board that is really simple to build on. This board has a subtle but attractive rgb. But in all honesty, there isn't much of a difference whether it is on or off. My majority of Corsair Icue possessions are not compatible with ASUS. The construction quality is excellent. Although I've long been a lover of Asus products, I switched to Gigabyte for my prior build. I'm glad I returned. It sounds strange to say, but the built-in IO shield was well worth the extra money I spent for this board.

For $95 this motherboard is everything I anticipated it to be (when I bought it). I installed my 2700x processor on this motherboard and was able to overclock BCLK to 103, which makes it run at 4.0 GHz. However, anything higher than that causes my SATA ports to become inoperable and crash, so I've stayed with high overclocks on my x470 motherboard (also by Asus but non-ROG). Without XMP, I can increase the speed of my RAM to 3400 MHz (because XMP is terrible IMO). Because it has more overclocking potential and because it's ROG, it costs more than some or most B450. The BIOS features an integrated AI OC feature, which means it will apply the overclock and identify the ideal settings for your CPU cooling. I'm really happy I picked this board. I must admit that I love MSI hardware. It has everything you could want and works flawlessly with Ryzen right out of the box. The size of this item is astounding, and its abundance of slots and AIOs is even more astounding. After doing some research on the top 3 motherboard manufacturers (Gigabyte, MSI, and Asus), I chose the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi board for my Intel i7-8700K. I wanted a board with WiFi and the newest M.2 NVMe technology, as well as some LEDs without being overly flashy.Because I wanted to use Samsung's 970 EVO 500 Gb M.2 NVMe SSD, I am so far very satisfied and thrilled with this board. There are options and instructions for everything you might ever want to accomplish in the BIOS. You don't even need to be an expert at overclocking to increase your CPU's speed. I'm using an i7-8086K 8th generation Intel CPU, and after clicking "use the 5G overclock setting," all of my cores are operating at 5GHz! supports 9th generation Intel CPUs, so I can update in the future (if Intel comes out with a faster CPU). The main drawback is that your graphics card in PCI-E X16 slot 1 operates at X8 if PCI-E X16 slot 2 (of which there are only three) is filled, while PCI-E X16 slot 3 only operates at X4. Still a GREAT purchase all around!

Since I started using computers more than 25 years ago, ASUS has been a top brand recognized for high build quality. I got this to use in a build for my father, a teacher, and I'll buy it again without a second thought for my upcoming project (s). My top goal is dependability, thus I didn't overclock the CPU. This board performed properly when I overclocked the RAM to its rated speed of 3000 MHz (always check the motherboard manufacturer's website for the memory compatibility list).This board was ready to use right out of the box. With a Ryzen 5 2400G CPU (ASIN: B079D8FD28), 8 GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 MHz RAM (ASIN: B0123ZBPDA), and an XPG SX8200 240 GB ADATA NVMe SSD, there is a firmware upgrade available, but it was not required at the time of build (ASIN B07BLNFSQN). After everything was operational, I updated the BIOS, and the procedure was entirely painless.Another reviewer said that the front panel connectors for things like the power switch, reset button, HDD indicator LED, etc. were not well documented. I think he did not browse the ASUS website's online resources. In addition to the handbook that comes with the motherboard, there is additional information on the ASUS product support website.This will be my preferred board for Ryzen based systems, unless I specifically require integrated RGB LEDs, high-end overclocking capability, or some other feature that this board expressly lacks.
