Best Dried Lentils in 2022

Are you looking for the best dried lentils? Lentils are a popular pantry staple and a great way to add protein and fiber to your meals. They’re also incredibly versatile, making them a great addition to any recipe. But with so many different types of lentils available, it can be hard to know which ones are the best.

When it comes to buying dried lentils, you want to make sure that you get a quality product. Look for lentils that are uniform in size and shape, and make sure they don’t have any discoloration or signs of spoilage. You should also avoid buying lentils that are too small or too large; small lentils can become mushy when cooked, while large lentils may take longer to cook and can have a gritty texture.

When it comes to choosing the type of lentil, it’s best to select one that suits your particular recipe. Red lentils are the quickest to cook and have a mild, nutty flavor, making them great for soups and stews. Brown and green lentils are a bit heartier and are best for salads and side dishes. Black beluga lentils are the most flavorful, and they hold their shape well, making them great for use in recipes like lentil burgers or curries.

No matter which type of lentil you choose, make sure to follow the cooking instructions on the package. Some lentils, such as red lentils, don’t require any pre-soaking, while others, like green and brown lentils, need to be soaked for several hours before cooking.

Dried lentils are a nutritious and versatile addition to any meal, and with the right selection, you can make delicious dishes that are sure to please. Just remember to look for the best quality lentils, and follow the cooking instructions for the best results.

Review:

I enjoy eating lentils, especially red ones. They are quite adaptable and, in my experience, cook more quickly than other varieties, which is ideal when I need dinner quickly. In addition to checking all those boxes, these lentils are also inexpensive (which is great for my budget) and organic (my body appreciates this). And while it could be simple to dismiss the organic component as insignificant, I believe that eating "clean" food is more crucial than ever. When given the option (and given their financial situation), I pick 365 organic red lentils.

These are what I buy for sprouting. I've found that eating sprouted lentils is a real treat. Compared to cooked ones, they are far more delicious. They sprout in about 4 days. These seeds germinated on time and were healthy and viable. They were nicely packaged and well worth the price of purchase. They were cultivated in Washington State in the US, and I loved that they are organic and haven't been processed or exposed to radiation in any manner. They didn't require regular rinsing because they were so clean. I'll post how I sprout them for the next reader's amusement. I use half a cup of lentils and a quart of water to soak them for eight hours. After that, I rinse and drain them several times in a quart-sized jar with a small plastic screen that is rubber-banded over the entrance. Every time I pass by the sink, which is around twice a day, I continue to rinse them while leaving the jar on its side. The sprouts will start to appear on them on day two. They are healthy and ready to eat by day 4. Eat by the handful as a snack or sprinkle on salads or soups. I store them in a ziploc bag with a bounty towel folded in the bottom in the refrigerator.

In a GOOD WAY, the pricing is RIDICULOUS! I find it unbelievable how cheap Amazon is selling these. Even I, who live in NYC, can no longer locate them in a neighborhood shop. really simple to prepare. No soaking is necessary. They do not waver. Since they are becoming so popular, I would stock up. The price won't likely remain this low.

This meal is ideal for traveling. It takes 90 seconds to microwave in the pouch, is nutritious, and tastes great. Although you could certainly eat it on its own due to its mild blandness, it would probably taste better when combined with vegetables or some sort of sauce if you had the choice.

This product is excellent. In the Instant Pot, these cook in in 6 minutes. Before cooking, we always soak the grains for about an hour. I've gone through around 10 bags of this product, and I haven't noticed any stones or sand, so that's a bonus. Did I mention how wonderful the flavor is? You can make a main dish by simply adding salt and pepper or by adding a delicious curry sauce.Good value, no stones, and tastyCons: Limit your intake when you're with others.Consider clicking the "Helpful" button below if you found this review to be useful. I consume a lot of lentils, beans, and other vegetarian foods. The lentils are delicious. In addition to often cooking the lentils simple and combining them with other ingredients to make homemade lentil burgers, I also prepare a significant quantity of soup. They are better for you than processed foods. I make the burgers with superior ingredients and in my own kitchen. When cooked properly, lentils maintain their shape. This review is for the Kashmir Spinach flavor; it appears that Amazon aggregates reviews for all Tasty Bite flavors (this probably explains why they all have the same star rating). I don't know why Amazon does that; it doesn't really assist us figure out which variations are the most popular. The Kashmir Spinach is excellent, however. The cheese cubes taste wonderful, the seasoning is spot on (although I like it a little spicier), and the spinach tastes fresh and is not at all rotten. Despite having a wonderful flavor, it is a little too soupy, which prevents it from earning five ratings.Because they are produced with high-quality ingredients and no preservatives are added, I enjoy the Tasty Bite recipes. The sodium content is a little on the high side, but not unreasonably so, as with most prepared items.
