Again, nothing. ordered this tool and started working.A 20–1/2 drive Kobalt extension, a good 1/2–breaker bar on a jack stand with a 4â€TM pipe, and around 10 minutes of heat were required. Review:

When I was changing the timing belt and water pump on the 5VZ-FE engine in my 2001 Toyota 4runner, I needed a technique to stop the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys from spinning. Normally, I would have rented the tool from my neighborhood Autoparts store, but they stopped stocking it because not enough people were familiar with its usage.I used two M8x1.25 bolts to secure the pulley in place rather than the supplied pins to hold the crank in place. Despite the bolt's low torque of 217 ft-lbs, it was nonetheless able to be tightened and loosened by fitting beneath the frame rail when loosened and above the frame when tightened. The moving arm was slightly bent but kept together by the tool. The larger pins allowed me to hold the camshaft pulleys in place while I replaced the seals behind them. The only significant problem I had was that I had to constantly tightening the pins because they started to become loose after a while.Overall, it's a decent tool that is less expensive than alternatives. It would be preferable to making your own or using a 2x4 if you needed to hold down massive pulleys.
