Best Grill Igniters in 2022

Grilling is a favorite activity of many, and having the right tools can make the experience even better. One of the most important pieces of equipment is an igniter, which helps you get the flame started quickly and easily. If you’re in the market for a new igniter, it can be hard to know which one to choose. Here are some tips to help you find the best grill igniter for your needs.

First, think about the type of igniter you need. There are several different types, including electric, battery-operated, and manual. Each type has its pros and cons, so consider your needs and preferences before making a decision. For example, electric igniters are great for convenience but require access to an outlet, whereas a manual igniter is portable and easy to use but takes more effort to get the flame going.

Once you’ve narrowed down the type of igniter, consider the features. Look for an igniter with adjustable flame control, a spark guard for safety, and a built-in thermometer to help you monitor the temperature. You might also want to look for an igniter with a timer or an automatic shut-off feature.

Finally, research the brand. Look for reviews from other users to get a better idea of how reliable the product is. It’s important to find an igniter that is durable and efficient so it can last through many grilling sessions.

By following these tips, you’ll be able to find the best grill igniter to meet your needs. With the right igniter, you can create delicious meals without any hassle.

Grill for the Genesis 330#

Review:

I got the item, complete with the wire harness, exactly as stated. Since my Weber E310's ignition has been problematic for a while, I'd prefer not to have to ignite the grill with a stick lighter because the vapor accumulation can be extremely harmful. Note that only the Weber E310/E330 front burner ignition models are compatible with this item. The packaging for this device makes it abundantly apparent that Weber models with the ignition and handles on the side tray are incompatible. Only two Phillips handle screws from beneath the burner handles needed to be removed during installation in order to completely reveal the ignition button. The ignition button will just fall out after being unscrewed (in a counterclockwise direction) after the threaded washer has been taken off. The four ignition wires can then be pulled and inserted into the new ignition button. My gut tells me that the majority of people won't need to replace the entire wiring harness, just the ignition unit. In case I need it later, I've kept the wiring harness in my garage.

Review:

This arrived quickly and in excellent condition. When I went to install it and began reading the directions, I saw that they required me to remove the grill cover and the grill's complete front. That didn't seem right at all. I threw the instructions in the trash and simply replaced it in accordance with how it had been set up before because the ignition was visible beneath the grill and the push start button had simply twisted off and popped out. After replacing everything and setting everything up as it had been for approximately 10 minutes, I switched on the gas and it started to function! Wish the instructions weren't so useless, but it's really simple!

Review:

It took around 20 minutes to install on my 1991 Genesis 1000 and it worked well. Although not ideal for my older model, the instructions (which are available in 22 languages, with English being one of them) are generally good.According to the instructions, the igniter and wires should fit through a single hole, but on my device, the hole was too small for the igniter, the metal tab that holds it in place after installation, the ceramic electrode insulator, and all of the wires. I was about to drill the hole out when I saw a tiny slit that had been carved out of the fire box immediately below the igniter hole. The white wire from the igniter electrode must be removed (NOT the igniter push button). Since it's a slip connector, it just pulls apart. Then, feed the tang that the white wire was attached to through the little slot and the black wire, ceramic insulator, and metal tab through the large hole. Once you've finished, fit the white wire connector back onto the tang and bend the metal tab up to secure the igniter in place.

About 8 years ago, the ignitor on my Char-Broil Classic 5 Burner Grill, model # 463211512, quit clicking. I tried switching the battery, but there was still no clicking sound, so I bought this product to replace the previous ignitor, and it worked well!! In less than 5 minutes, I switched out the old for the new! It comes in great packaging and fits perfectly. One AAA battery is required, which is not included. Press the button, and the clicking sound will return. Simple simple and really affordable repair. Be sure to check your current ignitor before purchasing, as they offer varying numbers of outlets. Easy repair at a fantastic price, I highly recommend! My grill has 2 outlets that plug into the ignitor.

The switch itself is well constructed and serves as a perfect replacement for the original that came with my Home Depot Two Burner Tru Infrared Grill. The original still functioned, but it needed a precise 1000 pounds of thumb pressure to do so.If you spend an extra two minutes removing the six screws securing the metal plates that cover the switch's rear, the installation is simple. It will be tempting to simply wiggle your hand between the blankets, but resist the urge. I held the front and rear of the switch with two pliers while turning it once I had access to it. The remaining details are obvious.Even though I have to replace the switch every few years, it now works wonderfully, so I'm okay with that.

Review:

I used this starter in place of the OEM one on my gas barbecue from MHP. Over the switch mechanism of the original, a rubber boot was left exposed. The rubber degraded and started to fall apart over time. This one appeals to me because the button cover is made of metal and appears to be of higher quality. The only problem I had was that the mounting hole needed to be a little bit wider because this one uses an AA cell instead of the original's AAA battery. Nothing major. The bottom line is that it functions well and is reasonably priced. In addition, this one is totally sealed, unlike the original, which had exposed components on the underside.

Review:

My old Ducane Affinity grill's spark generator, which was 10 years old, was perfectly replaced by this one. The grill's 7/8-inch aperture is the perfect size for this Onlyfire. I bought the three terminal Onlyfire so there wouldn't be a problem with spark from an additional connection because the Ducane grill has three burners. Installation only took a few minutes because the Ducane's spades on the wires matched the Onlyfire properly. One thing to keep in mind is that the positive end of the AA battery should face the button whenever you replace it in the future. On the black ring below the button, there is a very small and easily missed black diagram showing the battery orientation. This Onlyfire spark generator costs 1/4 as much as a replacement Ducane, which doesn't seem to be offered in a three terminal type, and performs just as well as the original Ducane.

On an RV stove that previously had a manual igniter that you had to turn in order to light the stove, this was installed. Because of how loud it was, I decided to give it a shot. Despite the somewhat different wire ends that connected to the igniter, I was still able to push the wires on and they fit snugly. To see the igniter in action after installation, watch the video.

The Sure-fire switch was the first to be replaced, and it proved difficult to remove and reinstall. Sadly, it didn't make my problem go away. This is what I ordered, and installation was simple. The first time, it worked. Be aware that this device is compatible with two distinct igniter types. Simply choose your current style and install it that way. Simple as pie.
