I've been use this for approximately six months. have previously tried a variety of stands with varying degrees of effectiveness. In tiny venues where I have to bring and set up my own equipment, I gig out typically twice or three times per week. I bought this on sale to use as a cheap backup, but I now just use it.There are various reasons why this stand has been a complete success.1) It is sturdy. I've used it with both large, powerful amps and little amps. I've previously been disappointed by the durability of Onstage items. Even though it has been used outside regularly, it has withstood a lot of abuse and maintained its strength.2) The stand is simple to put up, easy to take apart, and portable.3) The telescopic upper piece, which may be used to attach a boom, a microphone clip, or any threaded accessory, is very practical. Good build quality, but not fantastic for a Fender Mustang III amp in terms of balance. It works great to use the lowest elevation.Important information: The Mustang III's back support arms are about 1/4" too short. With just a tiny push, the amp can lean backward, allowing the arms to enter the speaker cabinet. Although it's unlikely, they might manage to ruin the speaker in this manner. This is why I would return the stand if it weren't so reasonably priced, however the arms can be made just long enough by popping out the plastic end caps and bashing them in at an angle. If it doesn't work after a few weeks, I'll let you know.Update: This is a good stand for the money; raising from three to four stars. Was five stars, but the arms were a little too short.

Personally, I doubt I'll attend a concert anytime soon, but they are fantastic for my studio needs! correctly and firmly. I spent 27 years on the road with various rock bands, and this is another invention I failed to consider since it is so basic. I would definitely recommend this stand to others because I truly like it, however I had the same issue as the people who gave it a bad review: the stand was crooked and the locking teeth did not mesh properly. The only reason it didn't receive five stars was because the repair was so straightforward.When I contacted the vendor, HiFi Sound Connection, they were fantastic and offered me a replacement; however, I opted to unscrew the stand rather than go through that process. It turns out that the bolt was too tight in my case on the NON-locking side (the side without the thumbscrew). The locking side's two parts were ultimately pulled apart as a result, which prevented the teeth from meshing.Simply releasing the lock nut on the stand's left (non-locking) side will reveal perfectly aligned teeth and a sturdy construction.Additionally, two of the rubber end caps really function as adjustable height feet. Be on the lookout for those that are not precisely spherical. These caps may be removed, placed, and then rotated into place to stop the amp or the stand from tipping over.This is a fairly strong position, but it occasionally needs to be adjusted. Will not think twice to suggest.
