This case is great, and I believe it will protect the AirPods case from dents, drops, and other harm. Without adding bulk, it fits incredibly well and feels good in your hand. Lint collecting hasn't really been a problem for me. It's wonderful so far! There is no particularly strange silicone or plastic smell when it is first opened. The silicone is heavy-duty. I have no idea how long the lid will remain attached because the hinge connecting it to the rest of the body is quite flimsy. The integrity or overall design of the case may have been protected if the hinge had been made a little bit thicker, in my opinion. The narrow hinge is the only thing keeping me from giving a four-star rating. In any case, I think it's fantastic!
