I did order Prime, but due to preparation times and the weekend, I was given a Thursday confirmed arrival date, which was fine—but I received it earlier than I had anticipated. Unboxing always feels like Christmas to me because of the element of surprise that comes with not knowing how the pot will look.As other reviewers have noted, the tree was very carefully wrapped; I only lost 3 leaves during transit. I bought two plants. They weren't big. roughly 4 to 5 inches high. They were inserted into a succulent/cactus mix that I purchased from Amazon. The image I've shown was taken three weeks after planting. It's amazing that they are already developing leaves and what appear to be two blossom buds.EDIT: I've added 2 more images that were taken 1.5 months after planting.

It arrived in good condition and with care. I was persuaded to purchase this bonsai arrangement by the product description, which I appreciated because it lamented the loss of the star caused by the tiny fishing accessory. The stick was lying near the pond and didn't fit the hands' holes, but I didn't mind too much because I replaced it with a wire that appears more accurate to scale. The little fish was missing, though, and it appears that earlier customers had better and fancier arrangements (the ones that arrived undamaged). I included a top-down photo of the empty pot because I replanted it in bonsai soil mix. Personally, I'm not a fan of bonsai. This was a present for a close friend who enjoys bonsai. He is more knowledgeable about them than I am, and he was overjoyed to get this tree as a present. The tree arrived as promised and in wonderful health, even soon after the shock of shipping, in addition to the awesome pot. There was no trace of shock, and he reported no major harm. Given how well-kept the pot itself was, as well as how healthy the tree is, the pricing is really fair. It looks even better because of the remarkably healthy small tree. I'll say it again: excellent gift for bonsai enthusiasts!

Wow! What a wonderful tree! Due to the unfavorable reviews and low pricing for the tree's promised size, I was a little afraid. I made the decision to go forward with it because I've never had a problem with Amazon's helpful customer service. I'm happy I did. I received a gorgeous, healthy tree that was well within the promised size, measuring 9.5" and 12.5" with the pot. It features several distinct mounds and a huge, coiled trunk. I've included a photo. This tree is a terrific deal because it costs at least $60 on bonsai websites! How well it was packaged for delivery is also important; nearly to the point where it makes it difficult to unpack, but in this case, I don't mind that. The tree was carefully packaged to prevent movement, with the pot securely wrapped up to the trunk to hold moisture. I am quite satisfied and would probably purchase another for a different area. If you're new to bonsai, be careful because this tree is outside. It cannot survive for very long inside.

Normally, I don't like to leave reviews, but I recently received an azalea bonsai, and I couldn't be happier! Yes, it is true that the bonsai tree is only three years old rather than five, but I'm not bothered by that because few people have the time to care for a bonsai from the seeds up. As a result, I'm grateful for nurseries. Moreover, even though my pot is not exactly what is pictured (mine came in a royal blue stone pot), it is still lovely! The Azalea bonsai arrived in excellent condition. It has lovely foliage and many future flowers will emerge soon enough. I wish I would only leave them on for about a week before cutting them off so the energy of my azalea will concentrate in the plant itself rather than on the flower. By doing this, you will have a more healthy bonsai and it will give you more flowers the next time. And I want to thank Brussels for packaging my bonsai with such care and attention.
