This is what I use for a harvest-right food dehydrator's vacuum pump. I recently had some problems with the dehydrator, so I replaced the oil as part of the troubleshooting procedure to make sure it wasn't the issue. I made a mistake by using a different oil. At the time, TSI Supercool was a subpar brand and MUCH less expensive than this. However, keep in mind that at the time, this product had a price tag of $150 or more per gallon. I think that this was because the vendor had low supplies and chose to raise the price rather than take down and republish the advertisement. In comparison to the other oil, this one enables me to drop below a 1400 mTorr within 15 minutes.I won't use any other brand going forward because this is such high-quality in terms of performance.*As a side note, my device actually DID have a problem. And I worked with the business for MONTHS to troubleshoot and remedy everything. The oil issue just made other problems worse and complicated troubleshooting.

I required it for a high-temperature bath use, but the plastic float does not hold up well during extended use at 185F, so I won't be using it for very long until I replace it with a different type. Nevertheless, it performed a good job of keeping the agitated tank within the acceptable range. Also to my liking is the top-to-bottom water connection.This valve is reliable, well-made, and easy to mount. I wish the manufacturer would create a high temperature version that was roughly two thirds the size. Additionally, I'd want to have the option to purchase stainless steel hardware rather than the provided zinc-plated (? )mounts and bolts. To prevent them from corroding into the watched bath, I nickel coated mine.

This kit is what I use to vacuum-degas silicone for my own projects. The kit was really nicely packed and contains all the necessary parts and oil. The only instructions included with the kit are for the pump; for assembly and valve instructions, you are on your own. The most significant difficulty in understanding is that the lid does not automatically seal; you must press it down in order for the pump to grasp it. If the valves are properly placed, it will pump down to minimal pressure in a minute or two from that point. To gain performance, you must fully tighten the inner bolt on the lid port. It quickly releases silicone gas, resulting in bubble-free casting. I tested the assembly with water before adding any silicone to shake it down and learn how to use it; if water can boil at normal temperature, it is functional.
