Although I haven't thoroughly compared the competitors, I find it difficult to think of a better product if you want a full-sized goal for initial use. Although I've just recently acquired this objective, after putting it together and utilizing it, I'm sure it will last a very long time. Undoubtedly, the net and rope holding it to the frame will need to be replaced from time to time. (Accuse the rain and sun.) The metal frame has a beautiful, consistent coating that will hold up well and is substantial (it doesn't move when you fire on it, unlike a pvc frame). The goal itself was put together in around 10 minutes. The net has to be added after that. For the frame itself, no tools were required, but when attaching the net, you will need a screwdriver to close the clips. It can be broken down into smaller parts for simple transportation to different sites. It's been in use for about a month, and so far, so good. Both the metal frame and the net are excellent. My son, a senior, travels and plays high school lacrosse. I bring up this point because, after reading the reviews, I was unable to find any that mentioned the ages or skill levels of the children in order to determine how hard the balls were being thrown. The net has withstood his beating on it thus far (after less than a month of use). We purchased this net because our backyard is unsuitable for lacrosse and he needed to be able to transport the net to a location close by. The net is sturdy enough to withstand powerful tosses and is easy for him to lift and carry. It doesn't fly across the field with each toss because of the way it is designed, which keeps it in one spot. It's still bulky, which is my only criticism (and I don't think it's been developed yet). Although it is lightweight, it doesn't actually fold. It flattens but never attains what I would refer to as travel size. My compact automobile won't fit it. Just for that, I awarded it a rating of four stars. It definitely performs what it says in the description; nonetheless, I wish someone would create something even more portable that could withstand the demanding uses of a high school or college student. Nevertheless, it is excellent and fulfills his demands. I would suggest this item! In a few months, I'll try to update my review.
