Best Livestock Fence Chargers in 2022

When it comes to protecting your livestock and property from predators, a livestock fence charger is an invaluable tool. It is designed to provide a gentle electric shock to animals that come into contact with the fence, deterring them from crossing the boundary and preventing them from entering your property. But with so many different types and models of livestock fence chargers on the market, how do you know which one is the best choice for your needs?

The first step in finding the best livestock fence charger for your needs is to determine the size of your fence. Different chargers are designed to handle different lengths and sizes of fences, so it is important to know the measurements of your fence before making your purchase. Once you’ve determined the size of your fence, you can begin to narrow down your options.

The next step is to consider the type of charger you need. There are two main types of chargers: battery powered and AC powered. Battery powered chargers are less expensive and require less maintenance, but they will need to be recharged periodically. AC powered chargers are more expensive and require more maintenance, but they are more powerful and can provide a stronger electric shock.

Once you’ve chosen the type of charger you need, it’s time to look at the features offered by different models. Look for features like adjustable pulse settings, weatherproofing, and digital timers, as these can provide greater convenience and flexibility. Additionally, consider the cost of the unit, as well as any warranties or other guarantees that may be included.

Finally, make sure to read reviews of the various chargers you’re considering. This can give you an idea of how well the charger works in real-world situations.

By taking the time to research and compare the various livestock fence chargers on the market, you can be sure to find the one that is best suited for your needs. With the right charger in place, you can rest assured that your livestock and property are well-protected from predators.

I bought them to install 14 gauge wire for an above-ground pet confinement fence. I was seeking for another way to put wire on the existing barbed wire fencing since I was too elderly and cranky to dig the wire down. The snap-on yellow or white wire holders sold in farm/ranch stores come in two distinct styles because, like most things in life, the T posts throughout the yard face two different directions. But the issue is resolved by these little fellas. The wire slides easily in and they fit any metal T post in any orientation while still facing the right side. Lock Jaws gets a "thumbs up" from me. It was unnecessary for it to extend beyond the fence because we were using it as a dog fence. Works Perfectly!

I had to buy this fence energizer because I had no other means of containing my dogs. One of my dogs would climb the fence, and another would dig under it. Because of the pricing and ratings, I chose this energizer. I also purchased the Fi-Shock P-30G Green Garden Post since I adore it. Directions for using the energizer were simple to understand and follow. In less than an hour, I had the garden post planted, the wire run, and the energizer connected. It was tried on dogs, who don't enjoy it (They now give me dirty looks). This is a top-notch product with top-notch customer support. I'll purchase the same energizer again if I ever need another one.

Review:

Use this for food patches for deer. In the spring, I sow soybeans for the deer. My numerous deer would obliterate the few acres of bean plants before they reached a height of a few inches. When I first tried the 6v model, the KV was only about 3K. Not enough to prevent deer access. I power three strands about 3–4 acres of soybeans using this 12v model. The deer will be stopped by my digital meter, which reads somewhere between 5 and 6 KV all the time. I pull the fence after the beans are knee-high so the deer can start feeding without destroying the crop. The fact that this charger is entering its fifth year and the battery and charge still appear robust to me is what I find most impressive about it. I genuinely thought I would only need a new battery every two to three years. I assume putting it on a solar trickle charger greatly increases its lifespan.

Review:

My dogs are now terrified of the fence because to this sturdy item. Strong/easy terminal connection. My only issue is that the device only has mounting holes on the top, which causes the bottom to twist upward when you try to clamp it down on a vertical surface. The item ought to have been built with the top mounting holes for hanging screws and a single bottom mounting hole to prevent the top mounting screws from coming undone.

Review:

I was looking for a light that my electric fence could power. I visited a number of farm supply stores, but not a single one could tell me whether one even existed. I went online and searched for "electric fence lights," and lo and behold, it was there. The owner answered the phone when I dialed the number listed on the website. Being a business owner myself, I was quite impressed by this. I submitted a photo of my fence charger, and he responded with exact instructions. When I got the light and the snapper (an essential addition), everything worked perfectly. The post I mounted on is very high off the ground, so I had to extend the wire's length. However, I was successful with a few crimps on automobile fittings (costing less than 50 cents). It can be seen at night from a great distance. The bulb is simple to change, which is a bonus in my opinion. Owner has a quality product. I simply wish a major farm supply chain would recognize the demand for this item and distribute it across the country. It is quite nicely crafted and well worth the cost.

New pasture electric fence; new to ranching. purchased used t-posts and new and used yellow Zareba style insulators, all of which quickly started to break. We ordered a large box of Lockjawz after a neighbor suggested them. On the new pasture, Lockjawz are gradually replacing all the yellow undesirables, and for all future fencing, Lockjawz will be the sole option. more sturdy, simpler to install, and more enduring. Recommend.
