This evaluation is for the amateur Gladiator (with twist axis)Because it fills a gap that has existed in the joystick industry for ten years, I can tell that this stick was created by aficionados.For 30 years, I have piloted computer flight simulators. I've owned a variety of CH, Saitek, and Thrustmaster products. This stick is excellent and the perfect choice for my requirements.HALL effect sensors on the 3 axis (pitch, roll, and yaw) are positives. These should last a lot longer than the cheap potentiometers seen in the majority of sticks priced under $100. However, the premium pots used in CH sticks appear to last a lifetime.Lightweight metal foundation with a minimal footprint. It takes very little desk space yet still remains stationary. Its small size distinguishes it from most joysticks and is convenient for travel.Very accurate and fluid motion, and the buttons seem very high-quality.Cons: The pitch axis has a deadzone where even very modest stick movement results in no movement of the gimbal or pitch axis sensor. I still thought it was considerably better than average and adequate for a three axis "twisty" stick. Although the tolerance may vary and some have used teflon tape to modify the bottom of the stick where it fits into the gimbal, I didn't think it was essential for me.Lack of top-mounted buttons: Not a significant drawback if you're using a HOTAS configuration, but I can't because of my frequent travels. It has a pickle, hat, and trigger switch. The end. Using the pinkie shift and the red/green mode button, you can access additional features. None of the other buttons on the stick may be changed to a different mode; the pinkie shift and the mode button ONLY influence the 3 switches on top of the stick.A little quality problem: I immediately began mapping buttons and establishing deadzones, etc. The left/front and left/rear functions of the hat switch were broken. When I disassembled the hat switch, I discovered that the actuator, which pulls down one or two of the four switches, required to have a slightly wider diameter so it could press two switches simultaneously to indicate left/front or left/rear. After reassembling it after wrapping a few layers of teflon tape around the component that pushes those switches, it functioned as it should have.Despite a minor quality issue, it was simple to disassemble and repair because most parts are screwed in and connected by connectors, as opposed to being glued in and soldered like most sticks I've attempted to repair.I'm really choosy when it comes to joysticks, and price isn't really a big deal. If the pro model with metal gimbals had a twist/rudder feature, I would have bought it.The main reason I deducted a point from this stick was the broken hat switch, which was an easy fix for me. I also wish there were two additional buttons near the pickle button on top.If it had two throttles and an additional slider for RPM, it would be almost ideal for me, but I'm sure most people use a HOTAS setup for that.In conclusion, if durability is essential to you, acquire this stick because it appears to have high-quality components, is precise, and should last. Get the Pro model if you intend to utilize a separate throttle and pedals. I primarily use it for Aces High 3, but this stick ought to excel in any sim with a realistic flight model where accuracy is crucial. Although it would likely be overkill for arcade-style simulators like War Thunder, it would be difficult to tell what the real benefits of this stick over a Logitech would be.

Everything was delivered in attractive packaging, and setup was simple. Although I initially installed the joysticks incorrectly, I eventually managed to get everything working! The buttons do always remain on; I believe there is a way to adjust that, but I haven't dug into it yet. In Windows 10, the board appears as gamepads. works perfectly on Mame and other emulators, however I believe third-party software is required to make it work in PC games. Moreover, just because they light up doesn't guarantee that LEDblinky will function, which was my original assumption, but no big deal.

One: A slight bit of "stick" on the throttle makes fine changes "jumpy." You can read about many solutions online. This is acceptable because of the lower price, but you should be aware that the sticky feeling is real. Two: The throttle has no "zero" point. There is no tactile input to inform you, so if you wanted to throttle to zero, you would have to rely on something in the game to tell you where zero is. To get around this over site, I set a "throttle to zero" key someplace. There are alternatives to adding another keybinding to deal with this problem; however, none of them have shown to be very effective.Overall, though, I'm pleased with the product's value and would suggest it to someone who wants to experiment with a thruster configuration.

I have several of them installed. Every time, they have performed just as promised. I've used them on several Pi boards as well as PCs running Windows 10 and XP. Every time, they have been "plug and play." Just be certain you connect the joystick to the connector at the board's end (furthest from the USB connector). Even though it appears like there are two places where a joystick can be plugged in, there is only one USB port and one genuine joystick connector. Just a heads upThe supplied connectors don't fit HAPP buttons, which is the only caution. To fit the larger spade connectors on the HAPP switch, I had to change each connector.

Without that, I'm not sure how to play any more. I actually increased my kill total per game from 5 to 6 to 13.I think the product is extremely excellent. Durable so far, but I'll keep you posted. The triggers on the game pad simulator are as discreet as they get, and I think it's incredibly cool.Suggestion. Because my iPhone 7 Plus is as slick as they come, I found a way to make the triggers stay in place by adding some sort of material to them. This is really cool. One thing I didn't like is that it contacts the volume and power buttons on my Note 9 but otherwise it works great. For the price it is worth it and accurate as well, and I will be altering my own controller was the reason I bought it to use on something else.

All of the negative reviews are a result of pre-order and shipping complications. I preordered it as well, however on the day it "launched," I was still waiting for my shipment information to arrive. I canceled the order and placed another one with 2-day shipping, which was successfully delivered. The stick is fantastic on its own. Love the way it feels; highly recommended. Once more, the negative comments on this page are about pre-order shipping rather than the actual product. The item itself is deserving of five stars.

I was a little concerned after reading a few negative reviews, but I though it was worth a go considering the price. My fiancé is compulsive about always trying out new mobile games, and he claims they operate and stay well on phones.
