After 25 years of devoted service, my living room CD player died, so I made the decision to "go the distance" and buy a device that not only records CDs to cassettes but also cassettes to CDs! I believed the TASCAM to have all I needed!It's a great system all around. When compared to my old CD player or my cassette decks, the sound quality is better. When dubbing from cassette to CD or CD to cassette, the deck and CD player each have distinct record meters and crisp, easy-to-read counters. Once you get the hang of it, the TASCAM makes direct copies from tape to CD and CD to cassette very simple.Unfortunately, the owner's manual is not written very well, as many other reviews have noted. Before I could successfully burn my first CD, I wasted a few CDs. Additionally, keep in mind to press "Finalize" before "Enter" when you wish to finalize a CD. You won't be able to play your CD in a device other than the TASCAM if you press "Finalize" twice or once without pressing "Enter." Additionally, you must remember to press the "Pause" key on the tape deck BEFORE pressing the DUB key if you wish to start recording a CD from the middle of the tape. If you don't, the cassette will automatically rewind to the beginning of the tape.I still don't know how to record from a different device, such the turntable, to the CD player. There could be a connection issue. I suppose I still have some more playing to do with it, but I was counting on being able to do that as well.The CD and cassette players need separate inputs and outputs into your audio system even though they are both a part of the same equipment. It can be a problem if your amplifier or patch box has insufficient total input/output jacks.However, in general, it's a pretty good system that is absolutely worth the cost if you figure out all the ins and outs.

All I needed were some good speakers to listen to while lounging in my backyard. I needed something that would be audible but wouldn't rock the home. I discovered a number of potential candidates, but I chose these. They seemed too inexpensive at first, so I was a little dubious, but I still placed the order. I'm overjoyed with them. Excellent sound. Excellent mid- and high-range. a little bass. not going to shake your house's siding off. If you use a really thick wire, the sound will be good. The mounting brackets and bracket screws were the only item I didn't like. The brackets are quite fragile and thin. They are functional but not particularly robust. The plastic twist cover on some of the bracket screws was broken. While I was tightening it into the speaker, the other shattered in my fingers.The price and sound are good, but the mounting assembly may be better.

Amazing speakers! Despite not being a pro or an audio purist, I have high standards for distortion and sound quality. I've listened to a lot of pricey stereo equipment with poor sound quality, but these speakers are anything but. Using two of these outside by the pool together with a Pyle 2x120w bluetooth amp and a buried (12"?) subwoofer with an integrated passive crossover. You can make it so loud that no one can overhear you talking while still maintaining flawless response and no distortion. I've used many different speaker manufacturers, including many more expensive models, and I essentially stumbled upon Pyle by accident years ago. Our love for these led us to add a second pair to the deck. I also have two ceiling 6.5s around my bar, and my home cinema has eight inch sealed in-wall boxes. I adore them all. I did try some 5 1/4" speakers, but I wasn't very thrilled with them. I upgraded right away and haven't turned back since. Get the 6.5s as a favor to yourself. The best outdoor speakers you can buy, bar none!

These speakers fit my pool deck well. At one end of the pool, I set one over each corner at ceiling height. Clarity and audio separation remain constant over the whole pool or deck area. My ancient Kenwood receiver seems to play back the audio with good quality. The Pyle Home PDWR53 would function well as surround-sound speakers indoors as well.It should be noted that the thicker gauge wire intended for low-voltage outdoor lighting works well for speaker wire because it can withstand Florida humidity and being routed through a warm attic.
