I also tried the Beckham, which is slightly less breathable but softer and thinner. The only very tiny issue I have with the SafeRest is how easily it gets stained. Make sure to follow the washing recommendations and never use bleach. Given how efficiently it functions, I'm willing to put up with it always having a tiny dingy appearance, even after washing. The ones I tried didn't have any crinkles, although some were warmer to sleep on. If this one wears out, I'll get another, but I'll pay more to have one with a full zippered enclosure. This one is no different from the others I've come across in terms of having at least a few unfavorable reviews. Vinyl is typically the sole choice if you require really strong waterproof protection. However, if you choose a brand that feels comfortable and breathes under your sheets, make sure to test it first in case the coating is flawed.

I've been using them for years, and there are currently three of them in my home, one in my daughter's apartment while she is away at college, four in my lake property, and three more in my son's home.
