Before discovering this on Amazon, I spent two years pounding oats in a blender. The muffins turned out fantastic and this is a finer ground than I could get. For heart health, I make the muffins using only oat flour. Over the past two years, my husband's cholesterol has decreased. The oat flour must be to blame. I use it in banana, blueberry, pineapple, and walnut muffins as well as pumpkin, raisin, and pecan muffins. To make the muffins tall, I completely fill the muffin tins. They taste excellent but probably don't rise as much as wheat muffins. The recipes are mine alone, and they always work out well. I make use of what I have on hand. I always use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar and sometimes I add molasses or combine stewed prunes. I've never produced a subpar batch, but I don't cook from recipes. This item helps me avoid a messy process.
