Best Outdoor Fire Pits in 2022

When the weather turns cold, there’s nothing better than gathering around a warm outdoor fire pit. Whether you’re snuggling up with some hot cocoa or cooking up some s'mores, outdoor fire pits are a great addition to your outdoor space. But before you start shopping for the perfect outdoor fire pit, there are a few things you should consider.

First, you’ll want to think about the size and shape of the fire pit. Do you want a circular fire pit or a square one? Do you want a small one that’s just right for a few people or a larger one that can accommodate a crowd?

Next, you’ll want to think about the material. Many outdoor fire pits are made of metal or stone, and each type has its own advantages. Metal fire pits usually come in a variety of shapes and sizes, are lightweight and easy to move, and are generally more affordable. Stone fire pits, on the other hand, tend to be larger, more durable, and more expensive.

You’ll also want to think about what kind of fuel you’ll be using. Outdoor fire pits come in both wood-burning and gas-burning varieties. Wood-burning fire pits have a more traditional look and feel, but they require a lot of maintenance. Gas-burning fire pits, on the other hand, are easier to start and maintain, but they are more expensive.

Finally, you’ll want to think about the safety features of the fire pit. Does it come with a spark screen to keep embers from flying out? Does it have a grate to keep logs from rolling out? Are there any special features to prevent accidental fires?

When you’re shopping for the best outdoor fire pit, it’s important to consider all of these factors. With the right fire pit, you’ll be able to enjoy cozy fireside gatherings for years to come.

I did a lot of research on portable propane fire pits. For every brand I could find, I read reviews. We enjoy having a campfire, and while there is always a fire ring present where we camp, we do run into a few issues. There are several restrictions on taking wood into parks, and I have a lung condition that is made worse by smoke. We might not always think of the park fire rings as being in the most convenient location. A wood fire's embers can burn furniture like chairs and awnings. I looked since I obviously wanted a one-stop solution to everything. The Cypress was a perfect fit for the size range I needed. In one of the adverts I read, it was claimed that the burner was a new design. I bought the Cypress with the understanding that I might need to change or modify the regulator and gas supply to get it to resemble the "roaring fire" we prefer—okay, not roaring but "healthy." Reading evaluations of other gas fire pits gave me the idea for that alteration. The Cypress ignited with a somewhat paler flame than I would have preferred, but as the lava rocks heated up, the flame turned a lovely orange. About 2 to 2.5 feet high was the flame. The gas produced no sound. So, here's the skinny. We adore Cypress trees. It burns cleanly. Instantaneous on. Instant off occurs. The cover is well-fitting. It is made with the kind of excellent craftsmanship that I value. A fire that resembles a wood fire will be produced.Even in the height of summer, South Dakota's mornings are often cold. We frequently rise early. We've never thought about lighting a fire to keep warm when we go outside for our morning cup of coffee. You can believe that was altered by the Cypress. We'll start it up.I also ordered the Cypress zip-up carry case. Get the case if you enjoy things that work well, as I do.I recently ordered the Outland propane tiki torches based on the high quality of this fire pit. unable to wait No more oily torch leaks.

Review:

My hopes were exceeded by this fire pit. Pre-built was included. All I had to do was insert the lava rocks and attach the gas tubing.I also got the Outland Firebowl 780 Natural Gas Conversion Kit because my patio has a natural gas connection. I immediately connected the conversion kit, which was simple to install, checked for leaks with soapy water, and started the engine.Although I haven't tried it with propane, the flames from natural gas reach the same height as those shown. There are plenty of the provided lava rocks to fill it. However, the pit's side rocks do not catch fire or become heated. I'm going to arrange them such that most of the rocks are in the center, near the flames.I've been pleased with this fire pit overall. It includes a lovely cover that fits snugly enough to keep it in place in the rain.

I bought this after lately saw people in California using fire pits. This is a fantastic alternative as conventional campfires are becoming less common because of the risk of forest fires. The setup was simple, but you must adhere to the directions and be sure you perform the leak test as instructed. I misread since only a lid and carry straps were supplied, not the additional carry bag, which I had initially assumed was included. I thus bought the bag separately. It's not entirely required to have the bag if you do purchase the lid and carrying straps.Everything went smoothly on the initial use. We used a five gallon tank for more than three full nights. I think it was very worthwhile! The product is very well manufactured and appears to have a long lifespan.

Given the price and ease of assembly, this fire pit appears to be a decent buy. My family, friends, and I are having a great time using my first fire pit. Sand should be placed in the pit's bottom, according to the setup instructions, to insulate the area beneath it and safeguard it from the ashes' corrosive properties. While I wholeheartedly support the usage of sand, the ash becomes mixed up with it, necessitating the removal of sand during the ash clean up. I improvise by burying FIRE blocks in the sand.Easy>>> 1. Fill the pit's bottom with sand (1-2 inches deep) 2. Level the sand to create a smooth surface. 3. Arrange the bricks in a precise manner. the masonry. I utilized measurements of 4"x8"x1." Most of the bottom is covered with nine or ten of these bricks. 4. Sand should be used to fill up the gaps to the bricks' height. Now that the area is flat, you can brush the ashes away. This pit has been the site of some wonderful fires. includes a spark screen, a frying grate, and a poker. Turn it on! As of August 21, 2017, the fire pit is in good condition.

They are lovely and look great at night when the fire glistens off of them; they nearly resemble mirrors. I'm very glad I chose these over the colorful options because it was pure luck that the color I wanted was out of stock. Our Salta Propane Fire Pit took exactly 20 lbs to fill it. They have been in use for the past two nights without cracking or fading. Because I didn't want to risk curious hands getting injured by the glass, I picked these over the broken fire glass.

Review:

After you burn the China off of it, it is fantastic. I've used it as a grill and a fire pit, and it produces a tiny, good grill that easily cooks enough for a family of four. However, because the better brand of charcoal lasts so long, I was able to cook enough food for seven adults. Due to its size, it required two additional grilling sessions, but it still turned out perfectly.Regarding a fire pit, my chimenea produces more heat, but this one is more attractive, even though it's possible that the thin steel will rust over time. I can always sand any rust spots, get Rustoleum high heat spray paint, and take care of that if it starts to rust.

These are my favorites because they are incredibly affordable and simple to use. They are simple for me to manually cut into halves, then into quarters. My fireplace only requires a quarter to create a fire with ease. I only use dry, well-seasoned firewood because damp or green wood is exceedingly polluting and difficult to light. With a lighter, these can take 20 to 30 seconds to ignite, and you must be careful when placing them in the fire grate because ash from past fires will quickly extinguish them, forcing you to start over. However, these are only minor issues. If I place the wood properly, they always function and burn for a long time (the right amount of air space between logs—enough but not too much).

Review:

We purchased it so that we could have a fire pit on our porch without the mess and danger that comes with having a real fire pit on a real porch. It completes the task.It seems a little flimsy, and the metal netting and inside grill rusted over after the first rain, but for the amount I paid, I can't say I was shocked... It's simple to put up and durable enough for its function.

completely meets our demands and is reasonably priced (at time of purchase). The GOOD: The feet and bottom are both strong enough. It did not bend and was not at all frail, but I do not think it could withstand harsh treatment. On the first use, the heat caused it to change color, but it looks natural and is not unpleasant. There was enough of airflow (something many others lack), thus wood shavings burnt well. Also screened in are the square holes. The top is a blessing since it stops unwanted fires from spreading outside the container and protects the light embers from floating around. The metal rod keeps you from getting too close while lifting the lid on and off while burning wood. The CON: The top screen is really weak, therefore one must handle it carefully. It becomes much more frail as it warms up. Although it fit perfectly before use, it is unquestionably no longer as good fitting after a few hours. But because we were cautious enough, everything works perfectly for us.
