I'm not sure whether anyone still uses them on the PS3 (I know I don't), but I do use two motion controllers with my PS4 for the PSVR. And having this for that is such a terrific idea. Instead of connecting them into your PS4, setting these down on this and having them change is considerably simpler. Additionally, they charge the controllers considerably quicker than when they are connected to the PS4 itself. For a charging port, there isn't much else to say. Just so folks who purchase this are aware, the motion controllers don't fit extremely snugly or tightly into the dock, so take care not to tip it over. However, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase!

If utilizing a PS4 for VR, a charging stand is required because the Move Controllers on their own can only be charged when connected directly to the PS4 via a USB to USB micro cable. Hard to accomplish with only 2 USB ports available, both of which are probably already occupied by the PSRV break out unit and an external Hard Drive.When the controllers are inserted, there is a pleasant strong "click" and a little red light indicates that a successful connection was formed in front of each port.It's awkward to take the controllers out of the base. Since they were so tightly installed, you had to twist or pull the controler out while holding the base in the other hand. Feels a little harmful and rough. It appears that a release button should be present but is not.Overall, it outperforms the majority of competing products.

Additionally, it helped free up a USB port for additional add-on hardware. Additionally, it features a lovely LED light that indicates if the controllers are charged or not. If you plug it into your PS3, the controllers will only charge when the PS3 is turned on. When the PS3 is in standby mode, it is not rechargeable. If you want to charge controllers while keeping the PS3 in standby mode, you will need to plug it into a power source. The manner the controller support was created was another aspect I enjoyed. They connect to the USB connector for charging if you set them on it and just slide them in. It is perfectly centered. It charges the controllers quite rapidly no matter how you connect. A full charge takes two to three hours.Overall happy with the purchase.

The controllers charge without a problem, but connecting them is more difficult. Connect here refers to the charging base. The controllers are firmly in place once attached. Seems to be a great deal for the money. There have been reports of blue and red lights that are blinking. They might be able to make out the blue light appearing to blink and the red controller light flashing, in my opinion. In any case, this product is effective for me.

A nice charger for the money is the Insten Dual Charging Back Stand Docking Station with LED light Indicator Compatible with Sony PlayStation PS3 / PS 3 Slim Controller. We purchased this charger because I prefer the design to those that stack them on top because our PS3 controllers, for some reason, will not charge when hooked up through the PS3. This one is doing well so far. It is not excessively big, but it is also solid enough that I am not concerned that it will topple over. The LED lights are a good addition, letting me know when they need to be charged.The controllers' internal design is the only issue I have with it, which is why it only get a 4 star rating. Nothing is directing it toward the charge port. Therefore, if you are not careful, you could shatter or bend it. I'm convinced that this is the reason why people criticize the design. It's okay, though, if you pay attention.My children have no trouble plugging and unplugging the controllers despite what I warned them about.
