My 8-year-old daughter received these from "Santa" for Christmas, and she adores them! She was shaky and unsure of how to walk on them the first day, but by the second day she and my 10-year-old were having a joy! The stilts are really simple to assemble and can be altered for different child heights and stilt heights. The only issue we had was that one of the rubber foot pads kept coming off, as if rubber cement was the glue holding it in place. Was it still obnoxious? However, we can simply glue it back on, so that's not really a problem. I just thought I'd bring it up. In order to use the stilts today, my daughter even insisted that her dad shovel the driveway. :-) Santa was effective!

Since my kid is six, I chose to get these instead of the junior stilts. I assumed they would develop along with her. She can't quite fit in them. She does adore them and will grow into them. My 9-year-old loves playing with them. With some practice, they are simple to use. This was a shocking gift for me to buy because I'm a helicopter mom who constantly worries about safety, yet they manage them with ease. They are a little huge, and my six-year-old is on the tall side, so I would say they are definitely more for eight and up, which is the only reason I didn't give five stars.

These activities are really enjoyable. Geeze, I'll never be able to walk on these, what a waste of money I thought for the first ten minutes I was on them, but then, wow, it just all clicked. I'm currently jogging, jumping, and bouncing, which is so much fun. Also a great workout. That was the main reason I initially acquired them. Now, even a simple block walk is a lot of joy. I haven't fallen either yet. Simply proceed slowly, and you'll be in good shape in no time.My girlfriend also recently gave them a try and did really well. As she wasn't heavy enough to make these bounce, if she buys a pair, she definitely needs the one for her weight.
