My children, who vary in age from three to ten, received this for Christmas. The setup process was quick and simple. The slack line itself has tree saver padding, but the guiding line does not, which I found odd. I appreciate that the slack line and guide line ratchets have covers. Although they lack padding, they are effective enough to prevent children from fiddling with the ratchets. Even though it was in the 20s and we were freezing, our entire family enjoyed playing with it, and we did so for a few hours! We eagerly anticipate longer, warmer days so we can play more and go camping. A lot of fun! I like how everything fits neatly into the bag it comes with. Tree guards for the guiding line strap would be the only addition I would make.

WE APPRECIATE THI SLACK! This is a great form of entertainment and fitness for the whole family. There is a helpful "trainer" slack that provides for extra support balancing in the beginning, which we thought was vital to have for novices, but don't be misled it is HARD at first; with practice you can take one step on the slack, then two, then three, etc. The two tree protectors that are included in this kit are particularly fantastic because we utilize the slack in the park and don't want to damage the trees. My only complaint is that it takes so much effort to tighten the slack that only my spouse was able to do it. It's a bummer that he is the only one that can actually tighten the slack so I cannot use it alone and the slack must be tight like a drum for it to not shake when you walk.All in all a great time!Highly recommend for families, friends, and strong singles.He is 6'0" and weighs 200 pounds and is pure muscle and he even found it hard.

This device is awesome! The setup is quite straightforward, and the directions are clear. The line itself is solid and well-made, and the Ratchet appears to be constructed from durable materials. I put two substantial railroad ties in place as anchor points. The post/tree is given a pleasant and slightly elegant appearance by the green material that surrounds it. My pals come over and struggle to stand up for hours. I thought this was a fantastic value and strongly suggest this product.I scored that section a three because I'm not sure what a slackline would be for beginners.

My son enjoys climbing and balancing on items constantly and has excellent coordination. This was the ideal gift for him to hone those skills and to encourage him to play more outside. The parts are of decent quality, and assembly and disassembly are not too difficult. It is also fairly durable. I discovered my son upside-down on the top guide line, which serves as a hand grip and could support his weight. He carries around 80 pounds. We don't leave it out overnight, so I can't comment on how well it withstands the elements. I've seen other packages that include a mat to cover the racket in case someone falls on it, but you can get the same result by simply covering it with a towel. We are satisfied with the purchase overall and would suggest it to anyone.

One of my best acquisitions to date. All summer long, both children and adults have enjoyed utilizing the slack line. I have left it up continuously and am astonished by how well it has held up. The ratchet's weatherproof covering hasn't rusted or weathered in any way. Despite spending the entire summer in the sun, the line itself has hardly faded. The line itself is incredibly simple to erect or dismantle. For curious spectators, the added training line makes this even more attractive and acts as a wonderful motivator for the hesitant to give it a try. This has been used all summer by my two children, ages 2 and 5, and they haven't lost any interest at all. Overall, this was a terrific purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to make another if/when this one wears out.

Considering the cost, this slackline is fantastic. It comes with the line, the ratchet, two tree guards, some setup instructions, and a bag to transport it in (with shoulder straps). The bag is quite practical and spacious enough to hold the line, ratchet, and protection. They have clutch shoulder straps.I've only used it five or six times so far because I'm new to the sport. It is quick and simple to assemble and disassemble. From what I can tell, it's sturdy. We'll have to wait and see how it holds up over time, but based on what I've done with it thus far, I have every confidence that it will.The tree guardians are not very strong. They are not long enough to cover many trees and don't offer a lot of coverage (even medium-sized ones). But the protectors shouldn't be the reason you purchase this. Old towels are far more effective and much cheaper. This is definitely worth the money even without the protection.

When set up, it functions well. I had to think about the ratchet mechanism for a moment before I understood it. The only issue I have is that only one of my four trees could have been reached by the shorter line, which was attached to the ratchet end. And just enough time for that one. I suppose it wasn't actually intended for mature oak and elm trees.
