It was a nice cage, but I had to set it up on the floor, so I bought this to replace it. I was able to set this one, which is almost the same size, on top of a big dresser. We use fleece for our guinea pigs, and using fleece, a little hand broom, and a quick wipe down with cage cleanser, this was really simple to clean. One thing I've found is that my pigs prefer to jump up to the platform rather than use the ramp at all, even at the lowest height I could place it. As a result, we maintain the platform as low as possible, and they sleep and dine on it. The cage has enough of space for hiding places and toys. I do enjoy the included hay feeder because it is cleaner than the typical hay cage we were using. Although they seemed to be of decent quality, we decided not to use the bowl or water bottle because we prefer our other items. Overall, I'm happy with it.

On March 29, when the Fed Ex delivery man arrived on our door and delivered us the sizable box containing this beast of a cage, I was overjoyed.After tearing open the box and removing every piece, we paused to gape at how enormous the cage's foundation was. Even though the directions may have been a little bit clearer, putting the device together didn't take very long. After putting it together, I was immediately certain that my bunny would fit comfortably inside, even if she matures into an adult rabbit and we add a litter box to the cage. She will have enough space to comfortably spread out on the ground. The entrance is quite high off the ground, so I was concerned that it would be too big for my small bunny, but she had no trouble jumping through it. She had no trouble climbing the somewhat steep staircase leading to the food dish, which we were unable to properly remedy.The water bottle definitely leaks a little, the platform is a little steep if the bunny needs to use it, and the hay bin just attaches to the side of the cage, so if you put hay in it and need to remove the hay bin, you have to accept that hay will go everywhere. These are my only complaints about the cage. Oh, and the cost of bedding has increased significantly as well because it takes some time to fill up the bottom. This cage is really nicely constructed. Once put together, none of the parts had a loose feeling. The process of assembly only took about 20 minutes. There were a few walls that wouldn't fit together, but a few blows from a rubber mallet got them to go together. It's also bigger than I anticipated. The two guinea pigs I got it for appear to enjoy it a lot more than their old enclosure. I appreciate that it has two large doors that provide easy access to the entire enclosure, enabling me to clean it thoroughly. The shallow flooring trays are the only major issue I have. Why the trays don't have higher walls is beyond me. The bedding constantly flies across my floor whenever one of the guinea pigs moves too quickly. There needs to be a redesign of this significant design problem. I would have given the wall a perfect five stars if it had been around three inches taller. On Amazon, I've noticed a scatter tray that is for sale, however it has unfavorable ratings and costs a lot for what it is. I want to create something that will help keep my floor a little bit cleaner. The large, deep pan provides my robot with lots of room and depth to burrow while completely containing the bedding. It is roughly twice as big as the typical Critter Trail cage, and the well-defined corners make it easier for hamsters to find their way around. The wheel is the best kind—a sturdy, one-piece structure that is safe for little feet and tails and is also extremely simple to wipe clean—and while it doesn't squeak, it isn't silent either. I enjoy cleaning the cage because it is so simple. I remove the wire top and the ramp after making sure my hamster is on the bottom level. Then, with her securely enclosed in the bedding pan, I can thoroughly clean all of her equipment. I appreciate that the wheel can be installed on the wire bars or in the second-level opening. Simply fantastic design. Because I have two porcelain dishes that I like aesthetically—one for her normal meals and one for treats—I did update the food dish. There is no such thing as a perfect cage, even though this is without a doubt the best cage I've ever used—and trust me, I've tried them all. The top door should be larger and more centrally located, in my opinion, but it isn't a deal-breaker. The water bottle was the only item I had to throw away without a doubt. The bottle I received had a nozzle that was too thick to get through the cage bars, so it had to be mounted inside. Perhaps there are variations on the bottles that come with this cage. Although it doesn't bother me, my hamster was able to chew through the clear plastic band that was intended to strengthen the connection between the nozzle and the cap. Additionally, the ball refused to completely descend inside the nozzle for some reason, which decreased the water flow. All is good now because I tossed it away and replaced it with a chew-resistant glass bottle with a narrower nozzle. This cage is fashionable, expertly crafted, and 99% faultless. Two of my rats are female. One is an adult, and the other is still a child. After reading other reviews, I was concerned about the bars' spacing on this cage. My older, larger rat made valiant attempts to flee but to no avail. Neither has my little one, however I'm not sure if it's just her laid-back disposition that has prevented her from wanting to run away. Overall, for the price, this cage is fantastic. My two rats can run around freely because it is so big. I believe there would be room for 1-3 additional rats and you could easily put them inside. My daughters enjoy it and can exercise a lot. The shallow depth of the tray at the bottom is the only issue I have. To stop litter from spilling all over the floor, I ultimately purchased several ferret litter trays, which I placed in the bottom. They are efficient and facilitate cleaning.
