I had a pretty worn-out, messed-up liner. I recently moved and opted to buy a new liner before putting the bed back together. It's a good thing I did because the bed developed a couple holes and started to leak throughout the move. This liner performed admirably, and there was a pool of water there, but there was no water below it. The main issue is that the side lines and walls aren't very good. Since the walls aren't very sturdy, I advise taping to the edge while filling the bed. If you have a leak, water will collect in the side liner—I mean, the side piece—because it isn't straight and has a crease on the bottom. You must locate this water before you can remove it.

Our waterbed required extra water to be added. We lost our fill kit long ago, if we ever had one. A hose that was run out the window to the outside faucet could be used to fill the bed with cold water instead of having to carry buckets of water back and forth. Anyone who has a waterbed without a heater or with cold water in it understands how chilly it can be to sleep on even room temperature water. Additionally, this has everything needed to occasionally drain the waterbed. It is a really practical thing. It was an excellent idea to include the conditioner in the bundle.

Despite several reviews saying it didn't heat up well, I still got this. I needed a heater immediately away because my old one died unexpectedly, so I didn't have time to conduct any research. I nearly completely drained the bed before removing the previous heated pad and installing new one. The bed was cool to the touch when I completed adding as much warm water as I had to it to the bed. The bed had already reached the 88 degrees I had set it to when I went to sleep that night. After raising the temperature another degree, the thermostat restarted after an hour. I have a Cal-King mattress with no baffles, by the way. So, to sum up, I'm impressed with how quickly the bed heated up and that the thermostat seems to be working correctly. I can't answer to how long the heater will survive just yet, but my previous heater lasted for about 10 years. I'll be content if this one meets or surpasses that. Additionally, some people complained about the noise and the led temperature indicator's flickering light. I positioned the control unit about 12 inches from my head, and it only blinks when it is in the heating mode. It is not making any noise, and I am unable to discern whether the light is flashing or not. Despite the unfavorable reviews, don't hesitate to get it. I believe it will satisfy you.
