Okay. First off, this webcam actually performs as advertised. Buy it! However, if you're a 70-something like me who isn't very tech savvy, you might find that it doesn't function when you first plug it into your Mac. Then, when you visit the Logitech website, you only find downloads for Windows versions of the necessary software; there are no Mac versions. However, when you call the Logitech number for support, you speak with some guy in God-knows-where who informs you that, regrettably, the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 isn't wired to work with a Mac, so, sorry to say, you shouldn't have bought this one. This is despite the fact that the product literature does, sort of, say that it will work with a Mac. The choice then is to send the camera back to Amazon and continue looking for a suitable webcam. That is, until you find the YouTube video by the man who claims that all you really need to do is open the application for which you originally purchased the webcam—in my instance, Skype—go to Preferences, click on Audio/Video, and then choose the HD Pro C920, which will appear in the drop-down option. Sure enough, it worked when I gave it a try. It's a good thing I persisted for a few days and didn't send the webcam back right away. The furshlugginer item is now deserving of five stars.

Recently, I purchased and tried the Logitech C920, C925, and C930. Webcams have been utilized in both individual and group VC calls, with business discussions being the main application for them. Key ideas following use of all three are:C920: Cheapest, best audio and video quality, 78-degree angleC925: Mid-priced, sharper than the C920 and C930 models at an angle of 78 degrees.The most expensive model, C930, is sharper than C920 but not as sharp as C925. Much wider at 90 degrees — For me, this was perfect for VC meetings with four people seated around the table because the wider angle clearly makes a difference.For group video chats, I would choose the C930 because the 90-degree angle makes a significant impact. Since the picture between C930 and C925 is so comparable, the angle coverage is what really makes a difference. It's a price game with the C920; $20 less for $20 less in video quality.

I definitely recommend this gadget if you attend online classes like I do and need an external webcam for proctoring. It is the highest-quality item available in its price range. This webcam enables you to be able to hold an ID card up to the webcam while keeping a clear image, which is required by the majority of proctoring programs.Be aware, though, that doing so voids the warranty.To remove the plate, you must first pop off the casing (which may be done without any tools). When the interior is visible, you can see a little dot of glue holding what appears to be a piece of gear around the camera. I used a teeny flathead screwdriver to delicately get the glue nub off. Because it is incredibly fragile and doing so voids the warranty, use extreme caution. By turning the gear either clockwise or counterclockwise, you can change the focus. Additionally, exercise extreme caution since if the gear is turned too far out, the camera lens could become detached.I didn't want to take a chance by keeping the blankets off because I have two cats. Once the focus was set such that I could clearly photograph my ID up close, I screwed the plates back on.

I have used a few webcam covers, but the W3 one is the best. The base makes a difference. Many additional webcam covers have a slide placed into an oval base with no rear, like the number 0. This made it possible for the slide to often and quickly pop out. The W3's strong base holds the slide much more securely because of this. The W3 is further secured in place by the slim design, which is unobtrusive and does not protrude above the raised borders of my camera case. This is my third attempt at a webcam cover. It is currently approximately 45 days old and hasn't fallen off or broken, making it the best I've ever used.

It has various useful functions, including facial tracking and motion recording.
